This guy has a physical problem that started at birth or before. He cannot process calories in the same way you do.

Most people who reach this kind of weight do so on normal diets. Some even continue to gain weight on restricted diets.

He has a disability His problem is beyond his control. But just because his disease makes him obese, you ridicule and insult him.

I'm sorry, but if he managed to lose 321 pounds on a 1200 calorie a day diet in just two months he was consuming far more than 2000 calories a day.

For all you know, his diet was a mere 2500 calories (2500 is the norm, not 2000).

And study after study has shown for the obese it takes very little extra to gain weight, and NO extra to maintain it.

I'll tell you what. I'll pay you 1 million if you can gain enough weight to weigh 1300 lbs.

The guy has a disability. Blaming him for his condition is like blaming someone for any other incurable or genetic disease. It's ignorant.
The problem is that it seems most overweight people think they have this same disability. :frown:

this thread reminds me of the thread with the fat guy who needed a fork lift to get onto a public transportation bus.

screw genetics or disabilities. If you don't each much, you WILL NOT GAIN WEIGHT!!! You cannot weigh 1,000 lbs without eating too much. there is just no way possible.

if you don't believe me, show me a picture of a 1/2 ton Ethiopian.

I'm glad it's so simple for you. Please explain why the vast majority of people cannot reach 1300 lbs?

I let him know as much this morning when he and the wife were complaining that his pants were too small. They fit well around the legs but he had a hard time buttoning them. Their answer is to buy bigger pants, my answer to him was to stop eating so damn much and go play outside more. It's no wonder he claims that his most favorite thing to do is eat.
Put that kid on the velodrome!!

You're lucky to have one near you....you guys should give it a try. 🙂

We actually live about 10 miles from it. Looks scary though. 😛

Football just started, he should lose some weight during the season.

I'm like 5' 10" and i'm 180.

My redneck roommate told me he's never seen a beefier asian kid.

You're skinny as sh!t, but 30lbs more is the beefiest asian kid? retard

People this overweight do have a disability, it's called diabetes. Who knows if his eating caused it or if it was the other way around, although we have our suspicions.

It's kinda scary the first few times you go through the banking, after that it's just a riot. I'm going nuts waiting for our local velodrome to be fixed. 🙁

Obligatory pic of me on the 'drome. 😀

first, he ONLY? weighed 1,072 lbs.

Second, I understand that genetics can cause people to gain weight at different rates. One person may eat mcdonalds all the time and not put on weight, whereas another person watches what they eat and are still overweight.

My point is, to become this obese, you have to be eating way, way to many calories. I mean look, this guy dropped 321 pounds in less than 3 months, just by eating less!!!! No exercise or surgeries. This is off 1,200 calories a day. You mean to tell me that if he ate 25% more than the average person and had 3000 calories a day that he would still not lose weight? I guarantee he would drop weight even consuming at the 3000 calorie level.

Gives him an excuse to spend $700+ on a track bike.

Actually, you can pick up a used track bike for a few hundred. That's one of the other nice things about track; the bikes are pretty cheap since there's not much to
them.

He is really not too bad with a BMI of ~25. 126lbs/60in/60in*703.

My brother's BMI would be ~26. 180lbs/70in/70in*703. He's a wall of solid muscle at that.

Mine is horrible at ~33. 260lbs/75in/75in*703. I need to spend less time on computers or something. Having a desk job plus college does not help either.

You're the retard. 30lb of weight does equal a lot of mass when it comes to Muscle and Fat. By me telliing him he's skinny as sh1t was nothing offensive whatsoever.
I'm by no means skinny. Not Fat either. Been lifting for about 5 years and wrestled during highschool.
I am beefy for an asian. Most asians are all sticks and bones.
You obviously have not seen many asians. When I talk beefy, I mean muscular, not skinny cut.

Also yea they do have a disability. More like an inability to control what they are eating.
Who the hell lets themselves get to over 600-700lbs ?
I know many people with Diabetes, and they're not fat at all they're sticks and bones.
The guy is losing weight on a monitored diet.

The body mass index, or BMI, which takes into account height in relation to weight to determine a healthy size. To figure BMI, divide weight in pounds by height in inches. Then divide the result by height in inches again. Multiply the result by 703.

A person is overweight with a BMI of 25 to 29.9, and obese with a BMI of 30 or higher.

I just calculated mine, and it comes out to be: 25.43987

Im overweight?!?! 🙁

I need to loose 2 pounds to be at 24.99 hahaha
