So I'm sitting here eating a steak (late night snack) and I cut off a little piece for my cat. So as not to make a mess, I put the piece on a work related paper that's no longer needed. So he starts eating it, and chews for about a minute or so, I'm not really paying attention, I'm browsing the forums. THen I start hearing this sound that's like a continuous cough. It's hard to describe... Like imagine a cough that dragged out for a couple seconds at a time.
So I look down and Boots is all hunkered down, making funny noises. I stare at him for a little bit and he keeps doing it. At this point I decide he must be choking. So I quickly get down on the floor and slap him on the back. He continues to make the noise. He's not really moving very much. I slap him again. Nothing. So being the genius that I am, I grab around him and squeeze kinda hard, like a kitty heimlech maneuver. He stops making the noise and the piece of steak falls out of his mouth, onto the piece of paper.
So I start typing this post, and realize that he's eating the piece of steak again. He got it down ok though. Now he's licking the piece of paper around the room.
BTW, the piece of steak was maybe 1/2" cube.
