That's what I figure. I don't think emulating the DS is a simple matter from a control standpoint.

You guys know that game emulation is against the law, violating copyright law, right?

The emulator itself is what's breaking copyright laws. Reverse engineering required to get them working, which is against copyright laws, too.

shrug.

in something liike this. wich makeing and useing backups is 100% legal i no problem breaking small unjust laws.

I do not download games. i do not steal games. ANY game i put on my card i own legally (wich is why my card is only 512 megs heh).

i do this so my daughter does not ruin her DS by takeing out and putting in games (she is only 6) and she has them all on one easy to keep track of system.

Unjust or not, some lady just got fined $91,000 per song. How long until the gaming industry starts charging a billion dollar fines for some little 15 year old who downloads the latest Pokemon game? Either way, it's still illegal and frowned upon on these forums. Advocating piracy is enough to get you banned here. Hell, I almost got a ban for saying that I used to pirate stuff.

Regardless of why you do it, I'm not sure how the backup exception would work in this case because you don't really have a viable, legal way of making a backup in the first place without reverse engineering coming into play. That being said, even if you could, it's not like Nintendo sells blank cartridges to put the game onto so having to use an emulator is still breaking the law.

i guess when/IF it ever came to that i would fight that battle.

IF the mods think i deserve a ban for admiting i download games i PURCHASE legally for putting on a card for my daughter then that is something i can/will deal with.

I am against piracy. but i am also against not being able to do what you like with something you legally purchase. I should be able to back things up in a way so that i can protect them for use by a minor.

hell i back up all her DVD's AND CD's too! im such a criminal!

that way she can swap out the DVD's and CD's when she wants. Wish there was a way to backup the wii games. my copy of Wii sports is scratched to heck.

A Walmart and a $20 bill will solve that and every future disc problem you ever have, short of damaging the data layer which is significantly difficult to do on the side that kids will demolish.

There are other sites where you can steal DS roms from, quit bitching.

I stopped using ROM sites about the time bit torrent started becoming popular ;) Seriously there's no way ROM sites that host the ROMS themselves can compete with Bit Torrent.

Figure it out?

Nintendo ds was released in 2004 wasn't it?

What does that have to do with it? Instead of asking a stupid question, try making an effort. Try going to the site. It's blindingly obvious what the site was from the URL alone. If that's not enough, there's a GIANT PIC on the site explaining it all.

Um the site doesn't give any information. You're an idiot.

Unless they have high speed servers hosted in countries that will never shut them down. Of course I don't think you can have both these days... it's either one or the other it seems.

Go to the site. Does it look dead to you? Instead of asking dumb questions, wouldn't you at least attempt to google it or even attempt to load the domain? Just because a website dies doesn't mean there's not enough information left on the domain to figure it out -or that the domain is even gone. "Dead" is a subjective term that doesn't accurately describe, well, anything. That is, if the domain wasn't already self-explanitory. And, if others weren't already talking about games earlier in the thread. Logic much?

Again, it is dead. There is no reason to go to the site. I really do not know why you have so much trouble understanding that purpose of this thread is to tell us about a now defunct website.

This includes the following:
aussie-play.com

nds-roms.com
nds-help.com
rombomb.com
ds-downloads.com
and others.

Please do not contact us as we will not reply to any emails.

Please tell me how that is not informative.

Also, this is the image on the right-side of the screen, next to all that text above (which is still there, by the way).

If you can't figure out what the site is by the URL, well... meh. I'm sorry. If you can't figure out what the site was by the conversation ensuing, about games, before that guy posted asking what the site was about, then you're a little thick-skulled.

If you can't figure out what the site was by simply pressing CTRL+T or CTRL+N and typing in nds-roms.com and pressing enter to see all the shit I just copied for you, then you're a hopeless dumbass.

Actually, if you didn't know what the site was, going to the website would have resulted in ^^^ what I just copied and pasted from the LIVE DOMAIN which would have perfectly explained what it was. Why this thread even exists is beyond me. What the hell do we care if a little-known pirate website is removed or not?

Go break the law somewhere else kthnxbai! :p

I can copy and paste stuff I make up too but I unfortunately I have integrity. In addition, I would not presume to come into another person's thread and call the OP liar. Especially somebody that has the integrity and standing as the OP. I certainly do not think you should keep slandering his good name.

Plus, all you are telling me is that the site is indeed dead.

See, now you're just being stupid. Try that domain. It works. Here, I'll even link your lazy fucked up stupid ass: http://www.nds-roms.com

Click that.

Also, click this.

You're obviously being obtuse just to troll, so I'll leave it at this unless you just really really want to keep arguing and proving how fucking stupid you are.

I have a bunch of NES roms, it's fun to load those up once in a while. Reminds me of child hood days when I used to get my friends over and we'd play the nintendo. Later on I got a SNES. Never owned a DS though. The last console I owned was a Playstation. (not 2, just the regular one lol).

I never heard of that site, but just by the url I pretty much figured it was Nintendo DS ROMs. Not too hard to figure out. :p

I'm not here to do your work for you man. JEDI has been here for many years and has twice as many posts as you. That certainly makes him far more credible in the eyes of the forum than you. He says it's dead, it is dead.
