The emulator itself is what's breaking copyright laws. Reverse engineering required to get them working, which is against copyright laws, too.

Unjust or not, some lady just got fined $91,000 per song. How long until the gaming industry starts charging a billion dollar fines for some little 15 year old who downloads the latest Pokemon game? Either way, it's still illegal and frowned upon on these forums. Advocating piracy is enough to get you banned here. Hell, I almost got a ban for saying that I used to pirate stuff.
Regardless of why you do it, I'm not sure how the backup exception would work in this case because you don't really have a viable, legal way of making a backup in the first place without reverse engineering coming into play. That being said, even if you could, it's not like Nintendo sells blank cartridges to put the game onto so having to use an emulator is still breaking the law.

i guess when/IF it ever came to that i would fight that battle.
IF the mods think i deserve a ban for admiting i download games i PURCHASE legally for putting on a card for my daughter then that is something i can/will deal with.
I am against piracy. but i am also against not being able to do what you like with something you legally purchase. I should be able to back things up in a way so that i can protect them for use by a minor.
hell i back up all her DVD's AND CD's too! im such a criminal!
that way she can swap out the DVD's and CD's when she wants. Wish there was a way to backup the wii games. my copy of Wii sports is scratched to heck.

Figure it out?
Nintendo ds was released in 2004 wasn't it?
What does that have to do with it? Instead of asking a stupid question, try making an effort. Try going to the site. It's blindingly obvious what the site was from the URL alone. If that's not enough, there's a GIANT PIC on the site explaining it all.

Why would he bother going to the site? The OP said it was dead. Read much?
Go to the site. Does it look dead to you? Instead of asking dumb questions, wouldn't you at least attempt to google it or even attempt to load the domain? Just because a website dies doesn't mean there's not enough information left on the domain to figure it out -or that the domain is even gone. "Dead" is a subjective term that doesn't accurately describe, well, anything. That is, if the domain wasn't already self-explanitory. And, if others weren't already talking about games earlier in the thread. Logic much?

Again, it is dead. There is no reason to go to the site. I really do not know why you have so much trouble understanding that purpose of this thread is to tell us about a now defunct website.

Actually, if you didn't know what the site was, going to the website would have resulted in ^^^ what I just copied and pasted from the LIVE DOMAIN which would have perfectly explained what it was. Why this thread even exists is beyond me. What the hell do we care if a little-known pirate website is removed or not?
Go break the law somewhere else kthnxbai!![]()

Especially somebody that has the integrity and standing as the OP. I certainly do not think you should keep slandering his good name.
Plus, all you are telling me is that the site is indeed dead.

See, now you're just being stupid. Try that domain. It works. Here, I'll even link your lazy fucked up stupid ass: http://www.nds-roms.com
Click that.
Also, click this.
You're obviously being obtuse just to troll, so I'll leave it at this unless you just really really want to keep arguing and proving how fucking stupid you are.
