Winning record =! sucked. And LSU only lose by 1 with last second FG.

That game was on at a bar that I was at, and with my amazing football knowledge (i.e. pretty much nothing), I actually called Clemson winning by 1. Although, I was gues -- err calculating something in the higher 20s! :p

Hopefully the advent of the playoff system will prevent such embarrassments in the future. Notre Dame is synonymous with overrated.

I have to agree. These guys are probably the most overrated program in the country. No way did they deserve the Championship game.

Problem is they would still make it into a playoff scenario. At least in the case of a 4 team playoff they probably would have been blasted by whoever they played in the play in game.

Saban is going to explode if ND scores a touchdown here. He's on the lookout for a reason to be pissed.

Anyone know with the playoff system next year if the time between the last game of the year and the first game of the playoff bracket will be shrunk down considerably? That's one thing that I've never cared for with the championship game being 30-40 days later than the last game of the year for a lot of teams. I'd love to that more like 15 days between last game and first game and then maybe a week or two between the next one.

The semifinal games are Dec. 31st and Jan 1st with the NC game on Jan. 12th...

Hopefully, ND loses it's stupid NBC contract because of this humiliation.

Louisville beat florida. The Big East has been a better conference in the past few years than the Big 10 + Notre Dame. Too bad the better conference is disintegrating, while the shitty mid-west schools get so much attention.

If ND get's blasted in the semis in a playoff system, they are over as a top tier program that get's an automatic bid for going undefeated. I think they'd get a bid once, but after that they'd have to join a conference & win it.

lol they're not going to part ways in a 22 year relationship because of one game.

If Notre Dame ends in the top 4, then loses bad like tonight in the semis, there's going to be pressure to join a conference, or they'd likely not get an automatic bid for the semis. They'll get one chance, still, but if they can't even compete in the semi-finals, I think there's enough pressure for them to go to the big 10.

I saw somewhere that the big east has been 3rd best for the last few years in conference winning. OVER the Big 10.

SEC reigns supreme.

Why would they lose a contract when this is the best they've done in decades? Are you high?
