Wouldn't something like that be readily available in a grocery store?I want to send someone a simple gift. How hard is it to find real maple syrup in North Carolina?

You're in the land of Finchville hams, you lucky dog.Yum!!!!
Look carefully. There will be some that are genuine maple syrup and some that are maple flavored syrup.I always figured that was just maple flavored syrup.

Idk... I could always get real maple syrup in grocery stores in Chicago and NY. Not that fake crap. Real, genuine maple syrup.not real maple syrup.
In which case, I was thinking you would have to stick to Vermont/NH/Maine to get real maple syrup in the US?
but why maple syrup in NC? Why not send them some real BBQ? (which obviously only exists in NC)
