damn! these high school players are getting better every year. these guys are monssterous!! they're all like 6'11" and 7'!!!!!

Kind of boring with the Lakers not having a pick. I'm just interested in the draft day trades that happen.

<< I know a guy who is 5'8" and he is in high school! >>

are you a midget?

I think so, I am only 6'3"

Yea, that's because the smaller ones got cut 😀 Hehe, there was an article in the newspaper about it.

why the heck is troy murphy projected to go in the first round (ESPN mock draft). the guys is slow and will probably be the next matt geiger. I would much rather pick up Jeff Trepagnier from the trojans. BTW, he isnt expected to be picked until the second round. Clippers!!!!

<< Goshdarnit...the Warriors passed on Shane Battier...took Jason Richardson instead =P

Yea, MJ said he was gonna do that.

Chicago fans, how does it feel to have your team run by a madman?

Tyson Chandler for Elton Brand?!?!?

It seems to me that whoever is going to offer the most, forget about college and just take what you desire...perhaps when these kids get into their 30's, they may go back and start college to earn a living!!

<< Four of the top eight picks are HS players? That's messed up. >>

I couldn't agree more.

<< perhaps when these kids get into their 30's, they may go back and start college to earn a living!! >>

Or when they get injured, arrested, or kicked out..

Battier is going to win Rookie of the Year, I think. He's already developed. I think he'll do well.

<---- 5'8" in high school. 5'8&3/4" now.

the arguement that these youngin's have about coming out of HS is that in any other sport, like golf, tennis, or even car racing, it's considered "great" if you go pro. so why isn't it ok to go to the nba at age 18?

that's their arguement. for me, if they are good and can hang with the worlds best, let them be. some of them also do it because they're from the ghetto and want to support their family. if it's a mistake for them to not play college ball, it's all on them.

i think the clippers did good to take elton brand for tyson chandler. they have too much young talent to develop as it is. With sacramento falling apart, and the sonics being destroyed, i think the clips can get a playoff spot next year.

Also minnesota is getting a steal with the 46th pick in loren woods. i cant believe he fell that far.

I would've said no way!!! because of the greedy Bibby, but not that he's gone and as long as Jason Williams plays like a point guard, I couldn't agree with you more. There has been no High School players so far who have made an immediate impact and it doesn't seem like that will change in the near future.

Our new NBA team here in Memphis, the Grizzlies, are shaping up quite well. THey traded to get a hometown boy in Lorenzen Wright and also drafted the best player coming out of college. Add that to the 7 footer from Spain and Jason Williams and Memphis should have a pretty good team. The trade for Jason Williams was strictly to get more fans in the stands. No matter what problems he caused in Sacremento he was still fun to watch. Maybe I need to get some season tickets for the ne Memphis Grizzlies.
