I'm surprised they went with Saguaro for number one. While a lovely place, I would have guessed someplace greener at the top.

10 and 3 more if you count sitting in their international airport terminals waiting for connecting flights.
While i haven't seen Jotunheimen, Norway I did hike through Sylan, Norway. Can't imagine it is all that different.

10 for me.

Some oddities on the list. For instance, I thought Zion National Park (well, what I saw of it) was more visually striking than Bryce. I'm also surprised at the first two parks in this list, ranking over Yosemite.

22 should be "Autumn in New England, White Mountains, NH USA" ... although, I might be a bit biased on that one :).

I haven't been to Europe or Africa yet so I miss a bunch. I did a quick glance and I think I am at around 10 or so.

NYC and Washington DC are two of the most beatiful places? Interesting/cool place, yes. Most beautiful? Nope IMO. <scratching head>

Geez I've only been to like 4....

I've been to a lot of other beautiful places though. Realistically there should be like 10,000 more places on that list. This world is filled with gorgeous places.

I've been to all the New Zealand ones. I don't think many of the cities should be on there. Certainly not Washington D.C. New York was really cool, but it was more of an atmosphere thing rather than it being "beautiful".

I personally think Milford Sound should be above Mt Cook. And Queenstown/Arrowtown should be on there somewhere.

I agree. Most big cities are ugly, dirty, noisy, and they smell bad.

2 :(

Big Sur - which is really beautiful

and NYC - which, like someone else had said, some parts are nice but as a whole it's pretty dirty like a larger DTLA.

So many of these sites are in the USA ... I wonder the makeup of the group that tabulated this list???

Kind of like the show "North America" that is running on discovery right now, almost every place they visit is in the US. Almost nothing of Mexico.
