Soooo a bitchy politician disagrees with the head of an organization which protected Nazis and pedophiles... and? I like how suddenly all these 'conservatives' have taken notice of 'fair weather faith,' guess it goes along with their abrupt 180 on fiscal responsibility and corruption.

Big deal, in fact kudos to Pelosi (feel kinda dirty saying that) for politely disagreeing with the irrelevant dinosaur that is the catholic church.

People in debt (and their children) were still being sold into slavery in New Testament times:

Matthew 18:25: "But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made."

and on and on... so if you don't follow it all then i guess you are not really christian. Like Fear No Evil said "If you don't believe in the core of Christianity, then don't be one.."

You've mangled that quote beyond belief.

Firstly, it's a parable wherein Jesus was recanting a (hypothetical) story of a king and one of his servants to illustrate how Christians should handle the concept of 'forgiveness'.

So, it's not about slavery (or it being approved in the New Testamnet), nor is it a 'rule' (law as the Old Testament commandments were) unless you consider the teachings on the subject of forgiveness a rule.
