Size wise where does this thing compete? Is it like the size of a TSX?

It's 7" shorter than the LaCrosse

which makes it the same length as a toyota camry

won't be interesting unless GM managed to drop 700 lbs with that 7"

3,313.5478 lbs.
It's listed as 1500 Kg in european literature... so thats eurospec, add a little sound insulation and i bet it will be a 3500-3600lb car.

Doesn't the 2.0 DI Turbo @ 220hp sound a little low? I would think an engine like that would give closer to 240-260hp.

the VW is at 200 hp. the hyundai is at 210 hp. 220 seems competitive.

Hmm, I'll look at it, still bored with the Altima, drove an S60R yesterday, nice but the auto is horrible (most are). I like the new A5 as well, its nice to see GM finally put something on the table that is interesting.

FUCKIN' A MAN! NEED TO TOUCH UP MY MULLET!

300hp would have been great though when the cars weighed in at 2600 - 3200 lbs.

What's the weight on this?

VW can squeeze 260-275 out of it with tuning (TT-S), but its like 200 normally.

I stand corrected. With both a turbo and DI, I was expecting a little higher than 220, but maybe that was unrealistic. The MS3 is 260 IIRC, and is both FI and DI, this just seems like a little step backward. Maybe this is more fuel efficient?

Its probably the same engine or based on the same engine in the Equinox, so im guessing it would be pretty efficient in that regard. Lets just hope they didnt fuck up the transmission programming

the MS3 is the performance option. this one is the efficiency option. it may even run on regular.

anyone else notice the resemblance between the buick lacrosse and the hyundai elantra

They probably just have the boost set conservatively. I bet with a chip it could gain 30 or 40.

oooh me like. As long as the reliability holds up, I could see a used one of those in my future in about 4-5 yrs 🙂

Ford's 2.0L Ecoboost is capable of 275hp and 280lb/ft. Production version is supposedly 230+hp and 240+lb/ft
