Was just watching the SciFi channel and they were talking about the Nürburgring race track in Germany. It's the worlds most popular race track (apparently), also one of the most dangerous. After all the races are over for the day, the track is opened to the Public...paying per lap, no speed limit. Seems pretty cool of them to open a race track every day...
But, then they mentioned something very quickly (as if they didn't want you to catch it)...someone DIES there EVERY WEEK. Maybe not a good idea to open it to the public? I mean, they probably open the track to people when it's getting dark out, and it's one of the most difficult tracks out there...AND there's no speed limit.
I guess that's how they do things in Germany though
- How long would it take that operation to get shutdown in the states?
Still kinda hard to believe someone dies there every week (or every other week, would still be amazing). Gotta trust the SciFi channel though, right?
