I made beta tester and did not realize lol, email ended up in junk folder, however only 3 days old so not too bad, downloading now so hope its worth it 🙂.

Feel free to message me if you need any help or advice getting started. My account name is Shock

If you add me to your friends list you'll see the character name I'm currently on

Made a pyromancer mage which is level 6 at the moment, game wise very much like diablo and stability is rock solid on my Vista x64.

Plenty of quests to do and enough online players if you want to group,so far its holding my interest, however diabo type games can get a bit monotenous.

Been playing since beginning of last week and I am currently a Lvl 18 pyromancer, as someone above mentioned it does have a Diablo II feel about it, which i enjoyed. Haven't done any group runs yet with the elite maps, but I will eventually.

Stop trying to build a new Diablo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its time to let that crappy clickfest remain in history. A pox on you, Blizzard, for destroying multiple generations of potential games.

I read Mythos is going to be completely free so guess there's no harm in this type of game being made.

MMOCRUNCH has a snippet of info on Mythos here .

Bottom line is that Mythos is an awesome game. Anybody who loved the Diablo games of yesteryears will enjoy Mythos equally as much, if not more so, because of near identical gameplay.

Toss the gameplay in with new quests, more storylines, and an overall feel that Mythos is a world as opposed to a single player game with an optional online mode and you have yourself a game that is sure to be a smash hit amongst fans. The best part about it? It will be 100% free to download and play.

Btw it can be found halfway down on the the link above.

does anyone feel like mythos is better than HGL?

after being in the HGL beta (and now mythos), i gotta say.. i like mythos better. granted, they're not precisely the same, but it's still hack n' slash in both cases. i liked the art direction for characters in HGL, but the environments (from what i played in beta) were really repetitive.

On the HG:L forums there are a lot of people saying the same thing as you.

Not sure if this works or not, but for those looking for invites, this was posted on the Mythos forums:

Step 1) Go to this link. It's the only way I know how to get to the irc.forthegamers.org if you have a different link to the irc then use that but you have to be connected to irc.forthegamers.org!!

Step 2) Press Connect.

Step 3) If you follow my link you will be connected to tbadventures.com chat, to get to the mythos chat place type this: /join #mythos

Step 4) Once you are connected to #mythos to get your Invite Private Message (double click there name in the right hand column) G-15 or Sulfuric.

Step 5) Tell them that you would like an Invite to Mythos please, and then tell them your email address.

Step 6) It might take a few minutes but eventually they will reply with a "there you go", say thank you!

Step 7) Check your Email, follow the steps to active your account.

Step 8) Download Mythos; and enjoy!
Sulfuric here.

Sometimes I may not respond to your PM -- if this happens, it generally means I'm at work or asleep. I may simply be AFK...But I will send an invite your way when I return from whatever I'm doing. I work 3 or 4 days a week, from Open to Close at the establishment where I work...so if I'm at work, you may not see a response for up to 12 hours.

However, on my days off, I generally spend the whole day at my computer, and can respond almost immediately to your PMs. If I'm online and not away, you'll have a response in as much time as it takes me to Alt+Tab to FireFox and click my Invite-A-Friend Tab.

If you do choose to ask for an invite this way, you don't have to say Hi...you don't have to say Why, all I really need is the e-mail address -- as it's the only pertinent information. 🙂 Of course, politeness is always appreciated ;-)

Alternate way to join in the IRC:
Go to this link, provided by ForTheGamers.Org themselves.
Type /join #Mythos (Not even required, just...preferred)
Type "/msg Sulfuric" or "/msg G-15" followed by the e-mail address you need the invite sent to. 🙂

I was just wondering if anyone still had an invite left?

I have an invite, is the e-mail in your profile the one I should sent it to?
You can also try the method I mentioned a couple posts back.
