Unless they live in a cave, most people know about sharing info online. Parents need to be aware of what their kids are doing. My kids don't have email addresses yet. My kids don't use the computer unsupervised.

That is to extreme.

Growing up we had internet use, and it wasn't monitored. Parents need to trust their children.
If parents have so little faith in their own kids, it can lead to rebellion.

correct, my parents told me i could have a beer any time i wanted, ill i had to do was ask (he'd rather me drink in front of him than behind his back) and since i've always had that option, drinking is the last thing on my mind when im looking to have a good time

a lot of kids i've noticed will drink like a fish once they can get their hands on it, because their parents were so strict about it growing up
