This was lit buy a standard 100 bulb, and the color is less reddish in reality. It is most like the area closest to the top in the first image.


Finish is Watco Danish oil, and will have a top coat of wipe on poly.

Hehe, my first table :D

Great job! Next time use natural light to photograph your woodworking accomplishments, it will enhance the look far more than the yellow light from the incandescent. :roll:

Will post more when the whole project is done. Going to have mahogany legs.

BTW I goofed and linked twice to the same pic. The third one is now different.

I would take a picture of the beautiful desk i labored over for a week, but im at college, 400 miles away from it. Btw, kinda sucks that I spent a week on that desk and moved to college the next month :-\

Gel stain (antique maple) and 3 coats of oil based semi-gloss lacquer.

It took three full days to build, even the trim was ripped down and routed from scratch. :D
