My bro still drives a 94' Ford Aerostar (in college) that my mom bought new when she was a 'soccer mom.' As much as he hated having it as his car, we used it a TON. We always piled in 7 or 8 people and took it everywhere. We called it the People Mover.

It's got something like 250k miles or so..

And my econoline could whip your areostars arse... v6...........

The econoline also has about a thousand pounds on the aerostar, I bet it'd even out in a race 😛

Bah my caravan will take both in a straight line and its just a 4 banger. You don't need a v6 or v8 when you have 17 pounds of boost.

My parents had an aerostar back in the day, the green one.
ugly as hell but the back tires would scream if you wanted them too......lol

It was faster than the econoline and the old astro.. I was bluffing

I just think looks wise they are very cool looking little vans. I put the wheels and tires on it. 248,000 miles and still runs excellently.

does it take two hands to count the number of transmissions it has seen? 😉

when i was a kid, i thought the aerostar was super-badass looking. and as a kid, i thought the rear passenger headphone jack was just awesome. a friend's parents had one. i remember that even the front seats didn't have headrests of any kind (yikes!).

i've found that the longer you stare at one, the weirder they start to look, especially the rear. they cease to look normal and start to look really foreign, like some european MPV you've never seen before. cocaine is a hell of a drug!

I had a 1983 Ford E 150 with the bubble windows and curtains. It had 2 gas tanks and got less than 10mpg. 😱

What does that have to do with the point of my o.p.? That Ford did a beautiful job designing the 93 Aerostar. Thanks for the info though.

damn, dude. you didn't have to get all butt-hurt about it.

he just wanted to share about his own van. lay off the 'roids.

LMAO

The rear headphone plug was the sh1t. Ours had quad captains chairs, though, with headrests on each one. 🙂

Oh, and ours also only had 1 replacement transmission. My dad blew it up, he was backing out of a spot, threw it into drive and hit the gas while still rolling backwards. One "BANG!" later, and the tow truck was called.
