I just think looks wise they are very cool looking little vans. I put the wheels and tires on it. 248,000 miles and still runs excellently.

The Aerostar kicks ass. Mine lasted a long time as well, but I had the black-with-white-stripes variety.

I had a AWD version of one of these years ago, oh wicked fun in the snow doing dohnuts, Get it just right and you stay in one spot and go around in circles, wife hated it and always screamed stop, while me and the kids were yelling "No way, more more!"
Loved the van and hated having to sell it, was my wifes, and she was very sad to see it go.

Damn thing was built like a tank, loved the V6 3.8 they had in them, just great motors.

Love the wheels on yours op, would of loved to have done that to ours, really looks sporty.

My GF had a 91 GMC G20 conversion Van when we met. I called it the shaggin wagon since the back seat folded down into a king size bef.

Hey, an Aerostar! Ain't seen one of those in a long time. My parents used to have one, it was a great little van, we trekked it cross country twice and up into Alaska. We owned it for about 8 years, rebuilt that V6 twice and had the transmission replaced once. I'd come to think of it fondly as a part of my childhood, and was pretty sad when I heard Ford retired the Aerostar design for the sucky wrong-wheel drive Windstar.

The Safari/Astrovan is the last of the RWD minivans, and I think GM has discontinued that a couple years ago, too. :(

I had a 1983 Ford E 150 with the bubble windows and curtains. It had 2 gas tanks and got less than 10mpg.

What does that have to do with the point of my o.p.? That Ford did a beautiful job designing the 93 Aerostar. Thanks for the info though.
