As for Sally Hemmings; it was pretty much rape. He was attracted to her and he owned her if she did not requit the same emotions I'm pretty sure the consequences would not be pleasant. You should read TJ's musings on "the lesser races".

"Reprimandable"? What the hell does that mean? I've prosecuted and defended dozens of criminal trials, but I've never heard of a "reprimandable" offense.
If your sole basis for calling Thomas Jefferson a rapist is his relationship with Sally Hemmings, you really should be ashamed of yourself. That's disgraceful, speculative innuendo on your part, and it's particularly awful considering that you're attacking one of the greatest men in our country's history.
Ultimately I think this is a stupid debate considering the lighthearted nature of this thread, so I will bow out of it.
FWIW, I love the Stern show and thought this call was hilarious. I am no racist - actually the most gorgeous girl I've ever dated was Indian, and my current GF is Chinese - but IMO our country is truly a sad place if a meaningful number of Americans are so humorless that they find this call offensive and think it should be censored.
