I recently installed windows 7 on an old computer I have running a A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo. On the Asus site, there is no support for windows 7, for the BIOS updates or chipset. Luckily I was able to find the audio drivers for the on board AC'97 Realtek for windows 7 separately.
After I installed them, I can see the audio bar moving up and down in the Volume Control when I play something with sound, but I cannot actually hear it.
Yes, it is set to play the on board sound in BIOS.
If no one can see any easy solution, I may just install windows XP.
Do I need the chipset drivers? If so I cant run W7 then.
Thanks in advance
