My Sonicare isn't working. . .

It seems to turn on, but only the bottom portion of the brush seems to vibrate. The actual brush part doesn't vibrate/turn on at all.

Anyone ever have this problem?

I had something similar happen after I dropped mine once.

I got a new head for it and it's been fine since. I dunno if that would help you any though.

pull off the head and check the magnets. There are like, 2-3 small magnets that create the vibration. I had one head die on me because the magnet came un attached.

If the motor inside it broke, you're screwed. If it's just the brush head, get a new one and try it out. You can get those anywhere that sells them.

Call 800-243-7884. This is the number for Philips Home appliances and personal care products.

use regular brush like regular people...

Everyone says this until they try a Sonicare. It's like having your teeth professionally cleaned after each brushing. 😀 <---see my smile?

Yeah I dropped mine yesterday. Impact wasn't strong or anything but I think that's what did it.

Off I go for a new head though! It has been a long time either way.

PS the inside of those things are nasssty.

Seriously? How much different can it really be?

ahhh well... it does beat regular brushing but i would not claim "like having your teeth professionally cleaned."

You can clean the inside of those brush heads, you know.

Like two other people said, it's probably the magnets. There are two of them glued inside the bottom of the head.

My ex got me a set of two from Costco. It was pretty evident that she got it mostly for herself and kept it at my place. After using mine for a week, it still vibrated my nose too much and I didn't like it.

I gave her the set when we broke up.

A friend suggested that I try Colgate Total because it keeps her mouth feeling clean longer, so I switched and noticed that she'd right. After some recent dental work, I bought a tube of Sensodyne. Now I really notice how well the Colgate Total works!

That is all.
