This thread has been helpful for me. Finally got my Moment today and been getting apps from here and other places that have been recommended. There's so many damn apps compared to WebOS.

Has anyone found a FREE 4x4 calendar widget?

I don't know of any free ones that are any good (off the top of my head anyway). Pure Grid and what not are relatively inexpensive, depending on your need for a calendar widget.

I thought they had free versions of the paid apps, but I couldn't find them when I looked earlier.

CalWidget isn't a calendar per se, but rather an agenda view. It has widgets of all sizes, but the best are the 4x3 and 4x4 ones. It's free. Try it out.

EDIT: Also, I did buy Pure Grid Calendar yesterday. Have until this evening to get a refund if I want, but I quite like it. It's really pretty.

I've been thinking about it. Right now, it would really just be eye candy for the home screen, not that there's anything wrong with that.

All I want is an actual monthly calendar format to take up an entire screen (or as big as possible). Nothing fancy at all, doesn't even have to store events, I just got helixlauncher and want with one of my screens to display the current month with arrows back and forth for previous and future months.

Pure Grid does all that except it doesn't let you skip through the months. Which is kinda sucky; sometimes you want to know the day of the week two or three months from now. Right now all you can really do is tap the month display on the widget and it'll send you to your calendar app, which will let you skip forward and backward.

I bought it and will see how useful it is over the next 24 hours. It's pretty cool and it had a skin that was a pretty close match to everything else I had going on.

Much more useful (for me) than just having an agenda view. It's worth the 1.25 really.

Skipping ahead and back months would be pretty sweet. Maybe they could scoot the month over a bit and put arrows on either side.

Tried out the free version of Armored Strike today. It's a really fun turn based game with online play even in the free version. You guys should try it.

I just checked that out....pretty cool. Its Tanks with a better interface.

I still can't hit the broad side of a barn in that stupid game.....

Found a really awesome app called Qik. It lets you live stream for free. Works extremely nicely. One tiny issue I found with my N1 is if I change the phone from portrait to landscape or vice versa, the video stops recording on this program. Not a terribly big deal.

get the "AutoRotate OnOff" widget...i use it when i'm reading news in bed or something, but it would work well for you too

Did a search, and saw that nobody has mentioned Transdroid.

Transdroid allows you to connect to the uTorrent web UI, and manage your torrents directly from your phone. You can also add a widget to the homescreen that allows you to see the speed of your uploads and downloads. You can also do a remote download, meaning you enter a torrent URL into Transdroid's prompt, and your PC will start downloading it. Very very useful if you're on the road, or away for the weekend and want to start up a torrent. Definitely worth checking out if you're a heavy torrent user.
