TAPCO stock?

Yeah, Tapco T6

How do you like it?

I've been considering putting one of my SKSs with beat up wood into one.

It seems to be pretty nice. It was a bit of a pain in the ass to assemble, but it seems pretty sturdy and comfortable.

My first rifle was a Mini-14, and I bought one of those bullpup stocks, it looked slick but in the end the entire stock was cheap plastic. I went right back to the wood stock.

Have you had any problems out of that hi-cap mag? I've never had good luck with them.

I have 3 of them and they are all Eagle brand. One of the mags causes at least 1 jam when I use it. The other 2 have worked perfectly though. I haven't had them for very long though, so I don't know how well they'll hold up.

I've heard the best 10/22 hi-cap mags are made by Tactical Innovations. They have 2 kinds. One is made of aluminum I think and the other is a plastic composite. Both are said to be good, but the aluminum is said to be the best. It costs about $70 for one of the aluminum ones though :(.

Have you considered an aftermarket barrel?

I'd love to build one up, maybe that'll be my next project.

I have, but the thing with that is that I'd have to buy another stock because most of those are .920 diameter bull barrels and the original stock and my current stock don't support that size without some kind of modifications. I'm not sure I want to do those mods because I don't want to screw up the stocks because they are not cheap.

the bull barrels definitely look nice though.

i've spent a lot of time at rimfirecentral.com looking at pics of other people's 10/22s and some of those guys can do some amazing stuff and have really nice setups.

..I have a SS version of the 10/22. I prefer the factory/traditional stock but may get a traditional/synthetic stock for all weather usage. I wish they would make it in .22 magnum.

..ya your right. may have to get one of those to match my .22 mag SS SW revolver. I got the .22 SS at Big 5 Sporting Goods. Will have to see if they have the .22mag in SS.

I just don't understand you 10/22 guys who spend multiple times the price of the weapon in accessories.

I got my remington 597, a valquartsen hammer, scope base and scope and i'm happy.

It does look nice though. Ever have around rimfirecentral.com forums?

I paid $170 for the gun and all the extra parts cost me $255. I didn't buy them all at once, it was over time. i think its worth it, it's part of my hobby.
