My roommate has a lot of laundry

My roommate seems to have an excessive amount of laundry. He washes roughly 10 loads of laundry a week. I average 2 maybe 3 (and yes I put on fresh clothes each day). I'm not complaining, just thought it was odd.

Hmm, forgot a variable. Capacity of the washer. I'd say the ones in our apartment are about 3/4 of a typical home washer, and about 1/2 capacity of the commercial ones I've used. So its probably more like 7-8 in a regular washer.

Oh, and no, he does not wash his sheets each week, its just clothes and a bath towel or so. He admits he doesn't know how he has so much either.

So ATOT, how many loads ( ;) ) do you do per week.

Is he so fat that one days worth of clothes fills up the entire washer?

10 loads a week? Holy tittie fuck. I do about one (aka enough underwear or socks to last a week haha).

Laundry including bath towels and etc? :p I probably wash 2 or 3 loads of clothing per week. Probably another one or two loads of bath towels - we have poor airflow in the bathroom so bath towels never air dry, so I use a different towel every day, so that amounts to an additional nontrivial amount of laundry to wash.

The average is in the 0-1 range.

Who's paying the utility bill?
How many times does he wash his hands?

Does he have just like 2 of everything and needs to constantly wash them to keep clean? My last roommate had enough clothes to not do laundry for a month, and not reuse anything. It was ridiculous.

3 loads every other week. Hell yeah. I have enough boxers to go for 3 weeks. I've done boxer/underwear/socks wash to increase my survivability only to end with a 4 load laundry at the end of like 3 weeks or something. I've done 5 loads max once where I had to do sheets, towels, and misc stuff.

1 load a week (includes towels). My washer can easily fit an entire "pop-up" hamper of dirty clothes. I only do an extra load when I wash sheets.

2 every other week. Seems typical. There's always a run on the washer on Sundays with 7 guys in the house.

2 on a "normal" week. One load work work clothes and one for regular. That does not include sheets and stuff.

it all depends on the week, but my normal laundry for my wife & I:
1 load of white clothes
1-2 loads of colored clothes
1 load of jeans
1 load of sheets
1 load of mattress pad
1 load of bedspread
1 load of bath towels every 2 weeks
1 load of "no bleach" white t-shirts every 2 weeks.

I have a kid like that.. My wife washes his clothes and a lot of the make it back to the laundry without ever being worn. She'll stack the clean clothes on his bed, they'll get tossed into a pile on the floor, his dirty clothes eventually get tossed on them before half of them are even worn, and back to the laundry room everything goes.

Ten loads of laundry a week? Sweet Jebus that's a lot. I do one load of clothes per week, and a load of sheets + towels every 2-3 weeks.

One for sheets, towels, & boxers. One for permanent press tshirts, blue jeans, & socks (I don't wear any white socks). One for button down shirts. So three per week.
