Culture has nothing to do with dumping an entire bucket of water onto the ground without seeing if there's an actual drain anywhere. It has more to do with stupidity.
You just want to exempt any criticism of idiocy and use 'culture' as a method to avoid such criticism.

its not about laughing at stupidity...but when you repeatedly humiliate someone that you know doesnt fully understand the new culture he's in, thats what is irritating me.

If this person repeatedly does idiotic things that even a child would understand not to do, then he deserves it. Culture doesn't make someone a moron. This character must be genuinely stupid. How come most other Indians don't do these types of actions?

That is a very dense way of looking at it, if you were new in a country with a completely different culture, initially I am sure you would also do somethings that could be considered stupid, wouldnt make you 'genuinely' stupid. Making fun of someone just because he is from a diff culture and is going through the pains of adapting to a new place is rather dumb, and yes I am Indian
When I went to India, I opened my car door like 5 inches (actually probably less) and it slammed into a bicycle rickshaw that was speeding by, causing it to collapse. That was stupid, just like this guy's act. We can find humor in these things without crying. Do you think I started telling people that I'm American so don't make fun of me because I'm not used to a culture of people flying by you a few inches away in a parking lot? No.
If I do something stupid, then people would be warranted to ridicule me in such a situation.
You want to give a person a free excuse just because you relate well to his ethnicity. I don't. I have no problem mocking the obese American wearing shorts and an ugly Hawaiian t-shirt wondering why he's dressed so differently than everyone else in the middle of Europe. You probably wouldn't either if he wasn't the same ethnicity as you.

No, I'm not, I'm being realistic. You are caught up in idealism. Again, you are too dense or rather unwilling to see this.
First of all, I didn't stay in a hotel. In the US, I'm not used to bicycle rickshaws flying mere inches from your parked car in a parking lot. I can usually open the door just to make it ajar and then look and proceed to open the door fully because I would never expect anything to be that close. It was stupid and I think that you can find humor in that.

There's pigeonholing based on rational thoughts, and then there is pigeonholing just to be inflammatory. Someone seeing an Indian making light of the "idea" of Jihad -- might simply not know that person is Indian and not Arabic. They don't do it to be inflammatory, it is ignorance. So, if you want to be "ignorant" since I'm sure you will doubt you intent was to inflame, then go ahead. I was pigeoholing to inflame (when I asked if you bathe) just like you decided to "freely assume" that I'm a redneck. But hey, most if not all educated people know that Birmingham is a typical Urban American city, so the idea that rednecks would even be here is pretty funny. Equating a large urban area with rural less populated areas is the penultimate act of ignorance.

Stereotyping is fun, isn't it? One day when you get a clue, you will realize that there is stereotyping because someone is ignorant, and then stereotyping to be a jerk.
