yup, everything is in order. you're officially gay. ;)

I'll put it like this. I want a new car, under $21K, preferably automatic, but not necessary. Something fun to drive. I DO NOT WANT A MAZDA 3 or a SCION TC.

Can you elaborate on that? Don't all Jeep Wranglers have 4WD-Low?

Stalling is when the engine stops spinning. He probably couldn't get traction once that happened. I would hate to have had to use a manual for the offroading I've done. Creeping along at 5mph over rocks sucks when you're having to feather a clutch (and hard on the clutch too).

Then you will get that with a wrangler.
Honsetly, it was the most fun vehicle i have driven. NOTHING beats taking the top and doors of on a hot summer night and driving! :)
It is a rigid vehicle, but it is great! plus, chicks seem to dig them! :D

I'm also in search of a new car, and I've narrowed it down to either the VW Jetta 2.0T, or the Subaru Impreza WRX. You should definately consider both the VW and Subie, they're both great little cars, and the Subie is actually a good buy considering it's 0-60 time if you want something fast. Right now I'm leaning more toward the Jetta due to it's advantages over the Subie in fuel efficiency, interior space, interior materials, ride quality, and better paint quality.

For a while, I was considering a VW Rabbit. But I want a car that will be reliable and that is one thing VW's lack.

No thanks with the vdub.

Have they not overcome the QA issues at all? What is the deal with this company? You make a fun to drive, performance, with a refined interior, yet, you cannot make it last or keep from breaking? WTF...?

Find a pickup with 4wd, solid axles, ground clearance, and capability to take 33" tires stock, then come back!

I got an 07 Mazda 6 Value Edition (v6) for under 21K. Its alot more car than a mazda 3. You could get an auto and a 4cyl for under 21k easy.

There was a private seller in the area selling his 2005 Mazda 6i auto for $12,999. It has 27K miles on it. It had me interested for a second, but Im more excited about test driving the Civic Si.

By the way, remember that JEEP stands for "just empty every pocket".

What's your first hand experience with a Jeep?

I had a 94 Wrangler that I drove for 2 years with no problems, then sold it for more than I bought it for. The only thing I had to change was the clutch, which was a whopping 150 dollars for parts.

I think that meant spending money on upgrades and modifications. Most people I know with Wranglers just can't live with the stock suspension and tires. Mine wound up with 4.5" of lift and 33" mudders. :)

And the second you do that you start breaking stock parts, hence, Just Empty Every Pocket.

I have an 06 Mazda 6 Grand Sport hatch (v6). I got that for under 24k new. Loaded except for navigation. It was by far the best deal going.
