simple you work harder at keeping your grades. The car is the least of your worries. If you want to get in, then you need to work toward it.

Stuff like this kills me. You're responsible to keep up your grades for your OWN sake, not your parents! Granted it's nearing Christmas time and to tell you NOW is pretty lousy of your parents but deal with it. I'm sure other people in here will gladly tell you that getting your own car bought for you is NOT something your parents are obligated to do in the LEAST. GROW UP.

I'm so sick of seeing threads about people bitching about their parents not getting them cars or expensive TVs when they're just 15, 16 years old... jesus, kids, it's disgusting. My bf isn't even really getting anything for Christmas, and he's HAPPY and GRATEFUL that he has a 10 yr old Buick with 175k miles on it, because at least he *has* a car.
So if you're a spoiled whiny little brat complaining that mommy and daddy won't buy you a car or expensive electronics, STFU.

WOW! This thread has over 150 posts and people are STILL knocking me for being a spoiled brat! Also this is coming from established members. Don't you people read even a single reply to a thread of such length without posting? SHeesh!
Then we have the fact that early on I edited the original post with the "disclaimer" down below and people are still flaming me! I guess that you didn't even read the entire post let alone any responses... anyway good news everybody I moped around the house for days and kept going on with comments like "I wish we weren't so poor" and "Christmas just isn't the same anymore" and GUESS WHAT?! Tomorrow my dad and I are going to Ford to pick up a new Mustang GT that they have in the lot. I can't wait!
