I don't need one. I just like them and wanted one for a while. Plus they are free if you change the plan. My dad obviously wanted to change the plan, but my mom didn't. If we had done it sooner, ALL 3 of us would have had flip phones.

FYI, flip phones are a rip off anyhow - they break way easier than non-flip-phones. The wiring is more stressed in the place where the two sides of the phone connect, and that area is overall less sturdy.

I only got a cell phone becuase it was free in our plan... and it sucks, its a big block and i dont care... Boohoo i dont get a flip with high res screen and a camera... A cell phone is for making calls and any one works just fine for that.
