My Next Project "Deading sound with acoustic foam" (Pics)

I just got this stuff in today. Its flat acoustic foam 55" x 26". This stuff has the high rated noise reduction score, the only stuff i've seen that scored 0.80 NRC was convulted acoustic foam (eggcrate look) 3 inches thick! This stuff is only 1 inch thick but has the same acoustic value as the 3 inch convulted foam. From the pics you'll see that the top layer is skinned, this adds 25% percent more sound absorbsion, and also adds a smooth surface nice for you don't wanna loose airflow, but scuffs up real easy. This is open cell on the top and closed cell foam on the bottom. Its got sticky on one side so ya just slap it on, they cut it a little messy like...but that can be easily fix by trimming it...there about 2 inch excess of what the specs were, so that nice. Right now im painting my case and chopping it up some on some new mods adding ontop of my old filter mod i made to my enlight case a while back to make it work better and more attractive looking. Im working on it slowly i'll have a write up about all these mods in a few im taking im kinda taking it slow. Heres the pics of just the foam:

Looks decent but to truly reduce sound you need to combine vibration dampening and sound absorbing materials. I used 1/2" accoustic foam w/ 2mm vinyl vibration dampening. Its more important to use a thinner material that can be applied around the entire case than a thicker material that can only be applied in certain areas. The back of the motherboard tray must be covered in order to get any decent results and very few cases have 1inch clearance back there. The greatest noise reduction in my case came after I removed all the metal cutouts and used panaflos.
 
I was gonna use anti-vibration/Mass loader, like Dynamat, some cement/vinyl based, anything that adds weight but... in my case im using very low rpm fans, which are either hanged by tie-straps, or rubber washers in between sheet metal. My hard drive and cdrom are screwed in sandwiched with rubber washers, and the drive rail mounts are layered in a 1mm sheet of rubber makes a tight fit from wiggling around. Really I didn't need this acoustic foam, but since i was painting my case just went and got even tho my case runs silent with the side panel off. I guess im kinda preparing for when i get bigger fans.

Also adds more flavor to my case when i put up pics of my new case and my technics of how i got it completely silent, and still running cool overclocked.
