My next car is going to be a Kia RIO

140hp and under 3000lb..? My '98 Corolla had 120 hp and was 2414lb. I'll take 600 pounds in exchange for 20 ponies. 😛

current miata is what 150ish and 2600lbs
s2000 is 200hp and 2800 lbs
mazda2 is 100hp and 2200 lbs
golf gti is 200+hp and right at 3000lbs
Fiesta SEL is 120hp and 2600lbs

so nothing really amazing about the Rio

The Fiesta has amazingly comfortable seats for being what it is, I prefer them to just about almost everything i've sat in short of a lux car.
 
As a Korean, I can't understand people buying Korean car (lol), especially Hyundai/Kia, but well, enjoy.

why does a fiesta weigh so much more than a mazda2?
 
The start/stop tech scares me. Just sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen. Either a stall in a busy intersection or an unintended shutdown. Who knows what kind of quirky programming gremlins could pop up.

'08-'11 Focus is 140hp and 2550lbs (5spd coupe)

I have some minor mods to mine, probably sitting at 155hp or so judging by dyno #'s of people with identical or near-identical mods. It's far from fast, but good enough for an econobox-duty purpose, and I do like surprising other slowish cars that think they are fast. Favorite targets are Civics/Integras with fart-cans, RX8 (have only found one that could hang, the autos are just hopeless), Mazda3 2.0 and 2.3 (the 2.3 is a good race if it's a stick and the driver is good), etc. Of course, these are all terribly slow cars anyway, even a Camry V6 will solidly put any of us in our place (econobox non-turbo crowd).
