I'm thinking that I hate the cold weather!!!

It's been parked almost the whole time. I take it out for a very, very ginger cruise as often as I can, but the temps are just awful so I can't drive it much.

I do have a warranty issue that I need addressed. My driver's side seat is squeaking, but with the way the temperatures have been, I haven't been able to take it in to get that fixed.

From what I can tell, it is amazing. Straight line (boring) it is a beast, though not the fastest thing on the market. Where it shines is at the track, which I won't be able to go to for another two months.

Out of curiousity, which seats do you guys have?

The GT buckets or the Competition buckets?

Nice cars

So you don't own a house and have 100k + 30-40k vehicles?

Hmmmm

Depends where you live and what your priorities are. :)

My wife and didn't even start looking at houses until this year because both of were generally traveling 2-3 weeks/month over the past 7 years. The travel slowed down a lot recently and owning/maintaining a house is feasible now. Just an example.

Easy to judge someone based on a single pic.....

OP - LOVE the Z06. Looks amazing. :)

Don't assume I'm judging, I just found that interesting.

Actually, I'm probably going to buy a house within a year. I'm renting now in order to see if things work out living with my g/f.

Sounds good/smart.

I just hope you didn't show her any of these cars you have when you were dating........(or your wealth)

Home ownership is overrated. Having the flexibility to move and advance my career has been far value than having an anchor. Unless you live in an area with quickly appreciating homes, then it can take 5-8 years to break even.

I own a home and this is all true.

The C7s look fantastic in the gray/gunmetal and red, from the ones I have seen. GM did a great job to really make the Z06 look 'special' this time around, along with the applicable performance upgrades.

Based on how much I would rather have the OP's ride vs. a C6 ZR1, I wonder if the mid-engine C7 ZR1 rumors are actually true? I know, I know, those rumors have been around forever. But what else could they add to really make the ZR1 THAT much better vs. the Z06? :)

Me too, home ownership is overrated for sure.

Advancing career is not something I put value on though......or obtaining nice cars etc.

Ownership of "nice" cars is WAY more over rated than home ownership though.

So much this. I tripled my income during the worst of the job market specifically because I had no ties to a geographic area and was able to travel (and then move) for opportunity.

Yup.

Sometimes being mobile is really important, depending on your field. I know enough people still trying to figure-out what to do with their houses in other cities (often with zero or negative equity) that I stayed away from this. As well as the fact you need to have time to commit to a house, be that actually being around (not traveling) or just time for upkeep and so forth.

Sure, sounds great. But remember, most people have kids.....care about families/stick around in certain areas.

We all have different priorities/wants/likes.

Some might not value traveling all together.

And some might value upkeeping the house (even enjoy it) vs working on cars or even having nice cars.

And others, might not really give a crap about careers, chasing money and having nice cars.

:)
