Bought this car a week ago. She is really clean, and has hardly any cancer. Motor grenaded on me when I brought her home, so now she has a new motor from VW in Mexico:D

It has been 17 years since I have owned one of these, and I am glad I spent the money:beer::D

Sweet. I love aircooled Beetles. I think I almost have enough parts in my garage to build one from scratch but no Beetle yet.:brokenheart:

Thanks guys!

Since this is a new motor, I have about $2400 in parts and labor. Long block was $1400, I didn't want to half ass it, so I put all new parts on the motor also. Nice paint job, some fancy interior, and she'll be a nice daily driver.

Looking good. Its always nice to see a vehicle stand the test of time and still look that good.

Nice car. I've always liked the classic beetles. I would like to get one sometime just as a project car and totally trick it out.

Thanks for the info, and I did go to the newer style of oil cooler.

Looking at that interior shot makes me not want to drive a VW bug.

It does look well kept though, just really spartan.
