My new toy!!!! Its an Apple!

Yum. 🙂 I dropped by the student computer showcase the other day and played around with that same model...I'm really considering getting one over the summer, but for the price, I'll probably end up with a sub-compact notebook since I don't want/need a full-fledged notebook. Still nice to look at tho. bah.

I paid $1518 plus $99 for the Apple Developers Student version. Without the ADC discount $1899.

That price is actually a lot better than I would have expected. I may have to consider that when it comes time to get a notebook.

I've heard that the office version for mac is nicer and better than the windows one

Hehe congrats on the new toy, I just got mine a week ago - although it has "ONE" dead sub-pixel. Grrr... oh well what can you do.

VLC (Video Lan Client) works great for playing anything - DivX or otherwise. The only skipping audio I ever get is after waking up from sleep, it'll pop and pause for a second before playing. Also got mine through the Student ADC Hardware Purchase program. You can read up on it here.

Right-click is ctrl+click or click and hold, but I've never been too fond of touchpads so I just hook up my little wireless optical mouse usb mouse and three button + scrollwheel away! 🙂
