The ADC is a program that allows student developers to get better equipment for a cheaper price.
 
Congrats! I love my 15" Powerbook 800 DVI, and these new ones look really nice. I think the 17" one is overkill however, but I'm sure that one will make a lot of people very happy 🙂

 
Wow. We've come a long way here, and I don't know even why. A year or two ago, this would have turned into an Apple flame thread. How far off is an AT Apple forum?

you get a one time hardware discount. I was looking at hte ibooks originally, but they were only discounted ~$200. You also get 12 months of the ADC mailing with developers tools. Finally, a copy of WebObjects.

I think it is because the prices have dropped so dramatically on Apple's line of hardware. Nothing wrong with that! 🙂

I have always used PC hardware for every desktop i have ever owned, but when i get a notebook in a couple of months, the 12.1" Powerbook will be my choice...
