I was gonna wait till spring when I had more money to put down and get a 3.8 Track but my old 2000 Neon's transmission finally gave out. Lucky for me a local Hyundai dealer had a Hyundai Assurance buy back on this 2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8GT for 22,700. It had only 3500 miles on it and so I went for it and got it on Saturday.

Silverstone, 6 speed manual, 3.8 Grand Touring. Only thing it's missing from the 2011 is navigation which I don't care for as I just use my phone. Havent got to drive it much with work and the Super Bowl over the week but just got back in from a nice half hour cruise with my buddy and his modded Evo X. Loving the car but looking to get an exhaust asap as it's a little too quiet for me. Only pics I got right now are some shitty iPhone pics, I'll take better ones on my day off.

Blasphemy! Your handle does not fit the vehicle you now drive! Kidding aside, nice car! How's that v6 power going for you? Mileage? I drive an evo x and man, that lil 2.0L turbo is a drag at times.

Tip: safest way to get rid of the license plate number is with a black bar.

What you pay sonny Jim? I bet that drives better than the 2000 Neon. Neons had about an 18 month service life, so you should be pleased how much you got out of it.

Congrats, nice upgrade from the neon I'm sure. From what I've read, the Track is a little too hardcore for the streets so you probably made the right choice for a DD.

Wow, good price. If it weren't for the cheesy radio setup, I might have considered one of these. :)

Thanks everyone! Had some fun in my apartment parking lot this morning before work with the snow we got her overnight in Chicago. :)

Really smooth power delivery and I've been averaging 23mpg since I filled up with premium (they put 87 in at the dealer). My buddies Evo X is a night and day difference after he got his downpipe, intake, exhaust, and tune. Sooo much torque on that thing. When his was stock it was somewhat comparable except for torque again still. One big difference is I can cruise a lot more comfortable on the highway compared to his car, especially because I have an extra gear.

Congrats. Don't waste your money on ricey exhaust... leave that stuff to high school kids. Noise is a BAD thing.

Congrats and seconded, leave the exhaust as is.

Definitely not, it's waaaay too quiet. I want a nice true dual exhaust with quad tips. Having trouble deciding on which one though. Looking at injen, ark performance, and 7ism exhaust.

I'm not trying to make it obnoxious, would like the car to atleast sound close to how it drives you know? Not goin crazy and taking the cats off or anything. Just a nice catback with good tone.

Nothing wrong with giving your baby a little more rumble, but consider saving the dough on the catback and just having the mufflers replaced. Gives you a lot more options and is much cheaper. All depends on how well the V6's respond to a catback. If the factory one is decent, I'd leave it and change the mufflers.

Congrats, should be a fun ride!

This idea, it is horrible.

Seriously. I know it's your car and your money, but in my opinion that would very tacky/ricetastic. And obnoxious.

Ugh I just saw the link. Those quad tips are ugly and out of place. But it's your money... if you want fart cans get fart cans...

Actually agreed. No engine with only 300 something HP of grunt should attempt to sound like something it is not.

Unless your 3.8L is a the TT 3.8 VR from the GT-R, it should not try to sound like one.

Unless it's a 400+ HP V8, it should not try to sound like one.

Because I know how fast your car is, he knows how fast your car is, and the guys who don't know how fast your car is do not care about how loud it is, except be annoyed by the noise.
