to OP lets see your phone change from landscape to portrait when you rotate it. is yours touch screen?
you basically paid way more for your phone over an Iphone and all it has is ummm a much better camera, that's still subpar compared to even a $200 P&S digicam A2DP bluetooth is wack, my Q has it and I've used the most uber wireless bluetooth stereo headphones on the market and the quality is about on par with the Jensen walkman tape player I had 20 years ago, actually the Jensen was MUCH better. Anyone care to explain why A2DP is anything to even care about?
VGA video recording is a gimmick, it doesn't have any type of image stabilization and the audio quality is piss poor. It's a huge step up from the typical cell phones video, but it's still
second camera? useless, that's just there to jack up the price
Iphone supports email right? if I email somebody with an Iphone a picture or audio they can play it right off their phone. And I can't speak for anyone except Verizon but if you email me at my#@vwzpix.com I get it just like an MMS, so the Iphone has no direct MMS support but using Email you can do the exact same thing?
one touch dialing will be offered in a software update for the iPhone
VOIP internet calling on a phone is useless
The n95 isn't the future of anything, it's a phone where they tried to add everything in the world and market it as a uber all in one. When the n95 has a higher resolution, bigger screen and can import my cover art from iTunes let me know. The iPhone is about function and it does it perfectly.
Well, Nokia is still the #1 cell phone manufacturer in the world. Im sure their easy to use and feature packed phones at decent prices have nothing to do with that.
Lets see your pretty phone screen in 6 months after its scratched up from comming in and out of you pocket 20 times a day. Or lets see you change your battery without either sending your phone into apple or voiding your warentee by doing it yourself.
A2DP sucks on your Q and window mobile in general because of the microsoft bluetooth stack, not because of A2DP. MS has fixed it in WM6, but Nokia has done it right since day 1.
AT&T/Cingular advertises they have the least droped calls (which has been disproven, btw). It would only be because in many areas they are at capacity and many customers cant even initiate a call without getting the dreaded 'all circuits busy' message. At least Tmobile has recognized that voip technology can help aleviate some traffic from the cell network by routing calls thru VOIP. Whats cool about that is, if you've got wifi, you can make a call from anywhere in the world and it wont cost anymore than a call from home. Well, at least with the iphone you can unlock it and buy a local sim so you dont have to pay extravagent roaming fees. Whats that, you cant unlock it and use a local sim? Guess you're gonna be paying $.99-$4.99/min for international calls.
Though I have no numbers, the vast majority of MMS messages go between cell phone users. Your friends/family with regular cell phones wont be able to send you MMS messages from regular cell phones because your phone wont recognize them. And I'm not aware of a single 'dumb' phone that can send mms via email. Likewise, they wont be able to open an attachment on their normal cell phone if you send it from your iphone as an email.
That 2nd camera may be useless now because of the lack of 3g avalibility, but in many parts of the world, you can use that front facing camera to make a video call. Sure, it's kinda gimmicky, but so was the internet on your phone just a few years ago, and now its everywhere.
As far as I see it, the greatest thing about the iphone is its brought the conveniences that us power users have had for years in a easy to use package. The iphone is no end all be all device. If you think that, you need to put Steve's kool aid down.
