Daily water intake 4.5 Liters

Meal 1
6 Egg whites
1 Cup of oat meal cooked

Meal 2
1 Steak 5oz
1 Cup of broccoli

Meal 3
1 Chicken breast 7oz
1 Med red potato 6oz

Meal 4
1 Chicken breast 7oz
1 Cup of spinach

Salad (No dressing unless it?s low fat and carb)

Cheat foods or to help you out until the next meal
Hand full of cashew or almonds
2 slices of water melon

This goes along with 1-2 hours of cardio in the morning, and weights and a bit of cardio in the evening. Also gonna be drinking some mass red tea prior to cardio so my heart rate doesnt slack.

What you guys think?

Btw I'm 6 foot and 241 pounds.

UPDATE:

It's been a tad over 4 weeks now, and I've managed to drop 21 pounds of fat from my body without compromising any muscle mass. My weight varies anything from 219 to 225 depending on my body's water weight. I have a cheat day usually once a week where I eat what I want, but I don't pig out on junk food, I still eat clean food just stuff that doesnt go with my diet. Last week I was at a rib fest and at 55 bucks worth of rib :) pure protein I say :). My metabolism is super fast now, when I eat on my cheat days it seriously takes me 3-4 hours and I'm on the toilet :)

I drink lots of green tea and red tea throughout the day, I just cook up a jug of it in the morning and that lasts me the whole day. It helps the metabolism and the red tea keeps my heart rate up.

As for food, I still have cravings for everything, I just want to eat anything and everything, but I have learned to control myself. This last weekend I was at a bar and ate some wings and drank a few beers on my cheat day, and felt reallly really bad after it. I felt like throwing up honestly and my body felt so weak, I just wanted to go to sleep and wake up and continue my diet.

Right now I am reducing my cardio to just once a day for about a month so the skin on my body has time to tighten up, then after that Ill up the cardio again. By september my friend says I should be at around 180-190, so I hope all turns out well.

Can't wait till winter time though :) I'm gonna try and bulk up to 200 pounds lean muscle mass :)

I don't know what calories those add up to but the overall food approach is really good, IMO.

Seems like a PITA to have to cook 5 meals a day. Good luck to you :p

Also, how you cook the food has a big effect too. Going to fry up those eggs with some butter or hard boil them?

Looks good, but I don't have time to eat 5 times a day. I just eat until full. Then when I'm hungry I eat again. :p

diets are so blah if you are doing it to lose weight. just go exercise and that takes care of it  i have no problem if you are changing your diet to become healthy, but depending on it soley to lose weight is just dumb. i see you are doing some fitness there at the end though, so thats good. btw, im 6'2" 280 and not fat, so dont think you need to be super light to be considered healthy.

2 things:

- Green tea: drink it, helps your metabolism (or try Yerba Mate tea from South America).
- Get some Omega 3/6 capsules... they are good and fully natural. They help weight loss too.

I burn up to 4000 + calories a day with my current muscle mass and exercise, so I know the calorie food intake won't be higher. My friend is a pretty serious body builder (he enters shows and competitions) and wrote this diet specifically up for my height/weight. He was on a more extreme version of it before and lost about 10 pounds in a week. I will be sure to keep you guys updated on how its going and my weight.

As for cooking part, it won't be too bad, boil 12 eggs in the morning, make the steak and chicken on electric grill, and the others are cake.

Sounds like a diet Body Builders would use to lean up before an event. I wouldn't even consider those "Cheat Foods" actual cheat foods. Cheats foods would be like a candy bar, a cookie and such. You would eat those once a week just to stave off any cravings you might have for them during the rest of the week..

Aye Green Tea is good, I drink it daily. I also take an amino acid complex to help my muscles heal faster, along with a high potency multi vitamin. Don't get me wrong, I never said you have to be skinny to be healthy. I have a gut atm but still am a very active person, probably more so then the average joe. Last year I was at around 260 and went down to 220 towards the end of summer. I was almost you could say, skinny, but I slacked off over the winter and was busy with college and stuff...drank waaaay too many beers...and now it's time to kill this gut once and for all.

That seriously looks like a lot of work, most people don't have that kind of time in a day. I can't spend 1-2 hours of cardio in the mornings, I gotta get to work. I could do that at night, but it'd kill me (or close to it), after being on my feet 12 hours at work.

Yeah the 5-6 meals day centered around protein are what most people who know what they're doing will prescribe for weight loss, with some variation of course.

I find it interesting that two people in this thread have already said they don't have time to eat five times/day. I've personally never met anybody who couldn't find two minutes at some point in the day to dip into a tupperware they keep in a personal cooler or down a protein bar.

Also forgot to mention, on every 7th day, I will be doubling my carb intake that day, or if I feel like it, pigging out on anything I want, and then going back on my diet.

Too many meals for me to worry about, I like my 3 meals a day. Good luck to you though.

The reason for 5-6 meals a day is to boost your metabolism. Consume less in spread out portions and you process faster.

Honestly, I think you're exercising too much with 1-2 hours cardio in the morning and lifting/cardio at night. A solid 45-min weight routine plus 45-min or so of cardio should be plenty.

Once you've lost the weight you want, then you can start looking at changing the routine to "tone" up more.
