Well, I finally bit the bullet and got a newer car for myself last night. :) I got a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT Coupe (Remember the thread I posted about the Grand Ams yesterday? :D ). It has 37k miles on it and you can eat off of it since it is so clean. The old lady that had it before me made sure this car was in pristine care, and I still have yet to see dents or scratches anywhere in it. I also got GM's 3 year/36k warranty that covers everything in the car with no deductible.

The dealer I went to was EXCELLENT, my parents and I were done signing and leaving after an hour and thirty minutes. My parents have bought many cars in the past and we never had such service from Quality Pontiac in Cocoa. :) The car was on their used car showroom, it is so nice.

Here are some pics:

Oh, and don't mind those damned love bugs splattered over my car.....I need to wash and wax it tommorow morning. GOD AND DOES IT GO.......I'm upgrading from a 95 Nissan Altima that couldn't move at all........this car pwnz. :D

what was the damage (to the wallet i mean)... ?

Well, they were asking 11,995 for it. They gave me 3k for my POS Altima, then knocked another 1k off the Grand Am. Out the door with taxes and other fees, it was 9k exactly. :)

Very nice! The floor mats could use steam cleaning to make them look brand new again. ;)

OLD LADY MY ASS

thats the most common story you hear. Im willing to bet the car was owne by some teen - you dont see too many old laidies:
a) tinging their windows
b) driving sporty v6 coupes

I do like the interior on those cars though, its very sporty adn the car does pick up nicely

what kinda old lady limo tints her windows?

edit: late to the punch.

Yeah? I like the outside but the inside (from that picture), while layed out nicely has that one-tone grey plasticky look. No contrast or distinctive styling.

Yeah, I know, as long as he got the nice car, it doesn't matter.

Wow, why didn't I expect a comment like this from you. :p Well, the sales person that sold me the car was a friend of my dad's when he was in the business. I really don't think he would lie about this. Second, for being four years old and not having any paint chips and the front looks like it was never used, someone really took care of the car. Third, it wasn't in a accident, I checked carfax before I bought it. :)

Oh, and if it was owned by a "teen" before I did, I really don't think the interior would be in the best shape and the speakers would of probably been replaced/blown too. The Monsoon sound system sounds excellent.

Thanks for the harsh comments halik!

That's one of the sportier and better looking GrandAm's I've seen so far. Does it require premium gasoline like the GrandPrix GT? Nice tinted windows and rims :)

hehe no problems,
carfax is not always right. The best thing is to cehck gaps on body panels and such. Looking at the pics though, i dont think you'll have problems with accidents and such.

as for the old lady thing,
i was looking for a z28 camaro last year and outta the 10 car that i've seen and riven, 8 were previously owned by old ladies. Unless old ladies in detroit suburbs have a 330hp+ v8 fetish, the stories had to be BS. From the same perspective i highly doubt that an old lady would get a v6 sports coupe and then had her windows tinted...

about the interior,
the one ive driven was in black leather from what i can remeber and i realli liked the layou of the dash and the round vents sorta protruding out. For whatever reason it seemed sporty to me

It's aight, my Dad used to be a ASE mechanic so he was looking for overspray and other signs that the car was painted/in an accident. He couldn't find anything and he usually notices stuff like that on cars. Just givin you a hard time! :D

That's cool, nothing wrong with that. We're just saying watch out for people piling the BS deeper and higher.

As long as all the maintenance was done correctly and on time, it'll probably be fine.

Well, it was a "GM certified used car." if that means anything. Like I said before, I have that extended three year warranty on it so if anything goes wrong, they will fix it! :)

Noticed the Florida plates.
You should have seen if A55 RGY was available. :D
