My INC (Macy's in house brand) failed and the salesgirl told me to go F myself and lose weight. I should have called a newspaper or something. All I asked was, do you guys warranty your stuff? (and after hearing her attitude-y answer, called her a bitch.)

Right. We believe you.

Yeah, NB's cheaper shoes are made in Asia like the vast majority of shoe makers but their higher end shoes are made in the US.

Yeah, I buy their US and UK made shoes. I wear a pair of seude casual sneakers from them that I really like.

I bought a pair of TNF trail shoes a year ago with the boa lacing system on sale for $95. It broke in under a month so I sent it back to manufacturer. I don't hear from them for several months. Then I suddenly get letter via FedEx. Apparently, they were unable to replace my shoes(discontinued) which is why they took so long. Instead, the letter came with a gift card valued at the msrp of the shoes which was actually $130. Profit! :awe:

the problem is you bought New Balance shoes. they are cheap throw aways. mine last about 2 years if im lucky. buy em at Kohls for $30 a pair.

Nah, I've been using new balance 60's for about a dozen years now as they are the only ones that do not cause me any problems while training/running. They are very solid and reliable and I've never, ever had a pair fall apart. I only replace them after regular wear and tear from putting too many mile son them.

I really like New Balance but I made the mistake of buying Nike for my last pair of shoes. I really need to find a good pair of New Balance so I can set my Nike on fire.

i would recommend the NB 993. Steve Jobs choice of shoes. They're $130 thought.

I remember when new balance weren't mainstream. Now it seems like everyone has discovered the greatness.
I always spend around $40-50 $60 at most.

Have you ever tried any New Balance except the bottom of the line? With your extensive experience, you should at least be able to give us some model numbers to work with. Otherwise, you're doing a "this one time my Jetta blew a water pump so the R8 is total garbage".

New Balance are not designed to last two years, especially the bottom of the barrel.

I buy NB in the $60-70 price range, they last so long my wife says it looks like I stole 'em off a homeless person so I finally buy a new pair..

I've had some 574's for a good number of years and they're the best damn everyday shoes I've owned. Can be on my feet walking all day and they don't bug me.

Will 100% get the same ones again when the time comes as long as they're still made in USA.

one Problem with NB is you find a pair you love only to find out that model is discontinued..

I love stories of good customer support. Especially when its a company who makes products I generally like.

Me too, I go out of my way to support companies like this. Good customer support goes a LONG way, seems too many US companies have forgot this

I usually buy the last year's model for about half price. That way I can wear $120 shoes for $60. The difference in cushioning is tremendous.

I've got a pair that I paid 100 for and wore twice. This post is making me want to use them now...
