Got it after I sold my SHO and couldnt be happier with it.

New paint, engine, gas tank, fuel pump, and trans. Paid $2K for it and runs like a dream. Not one speck of rust under the car even on the brake and gass lines. Still the perdy silver color it had when it left the factory almost 20 years ago.

It had ghost flames that you couldnt see unless you were right up on it. I outlined them thinking I was going to make it all black but Im thinking of keeping it the way it is because I get complements when I feel like taking it out or pick up my son from school. Going to last me a long time since I dont drive all that much after getting hurt but when I do it is so much fun. Two shades of white between the flames and the rest of the car with metal flake in the clear coat.

I had the windows tinted, outlined the flames, and stuck the birds on the side to complete the look I was going for and I think it works for the car 😉 It was pretty plain aside of the flames you couldnt see when I got her and had to sport it up a bit.

All it needs to make it back to perfect is a new head liner and thats it. With all the new parts and as little as I drive it, it may end up going to my son when he gets old enough.

He bought it and rebuilt it for his son. His sone (the ungreatful prick) told daddy he didnt like it and wanted a newer one with the corvette motor. Well in less then a week he wrapped it around a tree. Son bugged again but this time he wanted a truck. Dad gave him a truck and wrapped it around a pole. Son said he will that the 88 firebird now and dad so fvck off your not getting it but your going in the Navy now because I had it with your sh!t. Son went in to the Navy and the car had been sitting at a body shop in the middle of nowhere since we moved here. Guy told me the story and said lowest he would take fo rit was $2k just to get rid of it because he hasnt had any buyers at all.

I saw the diamond in the rough (so to speak) and couldnt pass it up and sold my SHO to buy it. With the little I drive and all the new parts this car is going to last me for years to come. That and there isnt any snow here and they dont salt the roads so it will look like new as well. I am so happy and cannot stop looking at it and wish I wasnt hurting all the time or I would be out driving it all the time everywhere 😀

Well I was going to get matching ones since the backs were bald but the closest tire store to me couldnt get the stinger brand anymore. the two on the back are like new and wasnt about to waste money so when the stingers bald out I will then have a full set of matching tires.
 
Its..not bloody fair...that would sell for around AU$15000-$20000 in Australia.... with the exception of the Ford Falcon coupe (which currently sells for double that depending on the options) yanks have all the cool 70's and 80's coupes....and you guys can get them cheap...I suppose a consolation prize is we get cars like GTR's much cheaper than you guy's....not that it's matters much..It's bloody rice

That's awesome man. I would jump on a deal like that, like nobody's business. Auto or 5-speed? What motor does it have in it?

New 305 V8 throttle body injected and auto. You can litterally eat off the engine it is soooo clean 😀. The trans if you floor it you will get a second gear chirp from the tires everytime 😉 And my son the other day I asked him (he is my step son) if he had ever been in a car that did a burn out and said no. Well I had to take care of that and went on a empty street and left a ton of smoke from the tires 😀😀

Nothing like it at all around here with everyones huge SUV's and Trucks and when I pick him up he feels like the king with all of his frineds telling him nice car and wanting to talk to him about it the next day after seeing him in it.
