Get a Hustler magazine, some ky jelly and a container. Take the contents of container and smear it all over the faucet handle and the end of the hose. Re apply for better affect. Set up a webcam, record the incident and post here so we can all laugh at the idiot.

This is money.

"Stop using my water or we're going to chat.

- You know who"

Hopefully that will do it.
It works.

I'm late to the party, but I say answer B.

You could also leave the cheap bologna lunch meat on his cars overnight, I hear that eats through paint nicely.

I have the opposite problem. My neighbor routes all their water to my house(roof overhanging the fence, pipes above ground routed to our place, so they push their flood problems to us =P

Im not saying he needs to go over there, ring the door bell, and punch him in the face. A post-it note that tells him if he doesn't stop stealing from him, then they'll need to have a "chat" ...way to be a < >.

He needs to go contact the police so the police can have a "chat" with him, or he needs to go confront him man to man and talk about how he knows whats going on.

Ok if you did not like my first idea, how take some pictures of his wife. Find some VERY indecent pictures of women with men. Let one of the Photoshop experts here work their magic by placing the face of the woman on the *other* photos. Then threating him with publishing them on the net if he does not stop stealing your water.

Not completely applicable to this thread, but a good story, I think...

We have a bunch of tulips in our front yard. In the spring time - right about now, actually - the yard is filled with literally hundreds of tulips.

One spring, two years ago, I noticed that starting in one corner of our property, someone was cutting the flowers and taking them. It started with 1 or 2... and within about about a week, there was a good solid dozen of them gone.

I was a bit annoyed. So I set up a web cam, set it to record movement and waited. I was going to get their picture and see what time of day they were doing it and figure out who it was an then do some irate knocking on their door.

It took less than a day and I found the culprit - a 5 year old girl who lived about five houses away.

I thought about it for a bit, and then decided not to do anything about it.

She didn't take any last year, and they are still all intact this year as well.

I agree that confronting him man-to-man is the better option, but a post-it note is much less lame than calling the cops. You're going to waste your time, his time, and the policeman's time over maybe a dollar of water? Please.

Have an affair with his wife - if he catches you, just tell him "I'm just helping you hosing your yard with my water"

put milk in his gas tank, that will teach him a lesson and he wont know you did it if your good unless you want him to know. But i'd do it without him knowing so you wont catch a charge. And for every dollar of water he takes, just remember you made him pay for a new engine and laugh like a lunatic.

$1 of water? For all we or the OP know, this guy could be using his hose for months or years now. I personally would get evidence and take him to court.

I don't think it would be worth it to take him to court over using his hose ;)
