i dont remember being nasty or hateful, but i also havent looked at my posts from back then, so i wont doubt you. your assumption makes sense... but no, that wasnt why i said who i was. i dont really know why and actually i regret doing it, if not only for the fact that when you google my name this thread may come up. i made this name for anonymity, that was a stupid decision of mine to say who i am.

have you thought about also searching his computer if you get time?

provided it isn't passworded - you could just run a search for *.avi;*.wmv;*.mov;*.mpg;*.mpeg;*.jpg etc and see what comes up
or search around for a collection of CDs/DVDs or whatever - I don't know what their schedules are like though so, it may not be possible.
Also if you could figure out the information for the FTP on this computer (if it is really running an FTP) that would be good to see what he is hosting.
There are also those hardware keyloggers heh, you could put one of those on his Keyboard so you can see everything he types and just go get it whenever he isn't around.

i understand. i have to make a conscious effort to be nice to people around me or i start snapping at people even when they say something nice to me. its hard to think positive when you feel yucky. thats why i have to repeat it over and over just like i wrote on here, but in my head 😛

okay, without reading through all the posts, here are some options.

Detector, interesting in that it doesn't scan or try to detect transmissions, but is more of a physical scan which would be good for situations where hidden cameras are linked to motion detectors.

higher end unit actually scans for the wireless transmissions, across a broad range, though it doesn't cover the latest 5.8 range.

basic model will also cover a range of transmissions, but you have to be within a certain distance from the cameral unit to detect it.

do a bit more research; there are lots of options out there. if you do find a wireless camera, the receiving base should also be in close proximity so..........
 
I sense the other ATOT 'females' getting testy. Even without pics just the portrayal of being a girl here will get you lifelong supporters.
 
Hey Cait. Get a hold of me if you have questions about the network stuff. But I'd have to say it's very unlikely to be a networked camera. A little handycam or something is a much better bet.

Funny how much "power" the technically inclined can lord over others. :Q

IIRC caitlion moved out at age 18, and presumably moved back in recently due to the medical concerns she mentioned in this thread. So I guess he's been around for a while, but she hasn't been sleeping under the same roof.😕

One possibility is to install VNC on his computer. This will allow you to view his desktop. While you're both at home, check from time to time to see if he's got a window open with a cam. You could even add an "incentive"...take your Powerbook into the bathroom, while in there check via VNC to see if he opened a vid window.
