Good luck dude...
I hope you can get this resolved in your favor.

As we all know insurance companies blow chunks. They are not around to help anybody,
profit is what drives them.

I hope for the best for you...have a

You are remarkably brave and obviously very intelligent and strong....

Don't let this get to you, there is always a way to work things out and I bet
you will even come out ahead!

Good luck and God Bless to you!

Good luck man. Sounds like you've got a good case if it comes to that.

I know how these things go, my ex's little brother was mis-diagnosed as a toddler for having cerebal palsy, when in fact his upper-most vertebrae wasn't seated correctly under his skull so scar tissue was strangling his spinal cord more and more as the years went by. Finally it was realized what was truely wrong when he was 18, and there was less than 1/32" of spinal cord left. They sued and won damages, only to be sued 2 years later insurance fraud (or something like that). The insurance company wanted all the money back that they had paid for his cerebral palsy treatments since it wasn't cerebral palsy. The insurance company didn't win, but just the fact that they tried to do that confirms for me that insurance companies are the devil.

its stuff like this that makes me pissed at "labomboo" and her 9 crack addicted kids accepting welfare checks

people that abuse drugs and alcohol and are complete f*ck ups in life have no prob getting money from the government

yet when somthing like this happens to a decent person they have to fight for every dime

I take it some idiot said "driving" instead of "diving" when discussing your claim and all went to hell.

When I saw the title, "My life is over or damn close to it" I tought, blah, another juvenile "got dumped" thread. Man, all power to you bro, from all of AT.

Hey crab...its been a while. 🙂

Well, obviously, that really does suck, to put it mildly. I've known about your misfortune for a while, so that's no surprise for me, but I always thought the insurance companies would, at the very least, not be out looking to screw you over the best they can. That's pretty pathetic. I hope that things work out well for you not just with this latest problem, but with everything else you seem to be, or might be struggling with. Looks like you have some good family who help you out, and that's a great thing...and a gf?

Man.

I think about half the guys on this board are suddenly questioning whether or not you really ARE in a bad position. Million bucks...neck injury...but damn, he's got a gf. 😀

Hang in there and keep us updated! :sun:

crab,

I've just seen this thread (linked from acemcmac's thread in FI) and I'd just like to say hang on in there 🙂 I've always found your posts very informative, and with your injuries and situation, it puts things into perspective more.

I have no advice to give, but I hope that you get everything sorted out soon, and with no more hassles 🙂

I know about your history crab, and I'm horrified to hear what is happening. Please keep us updated with any breakthroughs in the lawyer/payment situation... my heart goes out to you, and if you need anything let us know (we can't do much, but if you'd like I can try to find some jokes just for you 🙁 )

<--- wishes she could do more

we should start a money drive for crabs upcomming legal bills. give it a URL like givecrabs.com or somthing...

this is not a joke guys, we should help this man out.

Folks, I have spoken with my brother, who used to do this type of work. The insurance company hasno leg to stand on here. First and foremost, they have to prove that he was made whole by the settlement, which they cannot do because how is he ever going to walk again. They are just trying to bully him into giving them money. If he really wants to pursue this, he could take them to court and really rip them to shreds over this.

crab-

The way you have coped with what life has delt you has been amazing. Keep your chin up buddy. Look at it this way... no judge is going to garnish any of the support you receive in order to pay an insurance company. They can't take money you don't have.

Good luck buddy.
