Okay,

yeah I came home from work a couple of weeks ago and
found our half grown kitten laying in the road as road kill.
( I posted about this at the time )

I was really bummed because this was my youngest
daughters cat... her 11th birthday was only 2 days away.

Her and the cat was really close. She would wear him around
her neck like a mink stole and walk around the house with him
and he just purred his little butt off and loved it.

I wish I had some pics of him to post.
he was just a regular tabby color... with short hair.. but long hair
on the tail... and it always stood straight out like a bottle brush.

Such a strange little creature.

My kid took it very hard... and since her birthday was
so close she told us to forget anything on her list.. all she wanted was a kitten.

So... we let her pick her own kitten after a few days and several
hundered miles of driving..... we went all over this damn state.

This is what she came up with....
a Himalayan Persian Blue Point.

Normally an expensive kitty, we got a great deal.

My personal prefferance is an alley raised kitten... one raised
by mama in the wild.
They seem to have a lot of heart.

However this little guy is cool... acts like a little puppy.
Follows people around the house and even carrys dirty
socks around.

Here is a pic of a kitten that is the same breed and color as him.
My digital camera has a floppy drive and none of my PCs have a floppy anymore.. so I need a new camera.

You cannot tell the differance between this fuzzy kitty and mine..they are the same.

nullKitty here

Peace
Rich

poem by carver on the subject (sort of) one of my favorties.

your dog dies

it gets run over by a van.
you find it at the side of the road
and bury it.
you feel bad about it.
you feel bad personally,
but you feel bad for your daughter
because it was her pet,
and she loved it so.
she used to croon to it
and let it sleep in her bed.
you write a poem about it.
you call it a poem for your daughter,
about the dog getting run over by a van
and how you looked after it,
took it out into the woods
and buried it deep, deep,
and that poem turns out so good
you're almost glad the little dog
was run over, or else you'd never
have written that good poem.
then you sit down to write
a poem about writing a poem
about the death of that dog,
but while you're writing you
hear a woman scream
your name, your first name,
both syllables,
and your heart stops.
after a minute, you continue writing.
she screams again.
you wonder how long this can go on

That's really too bad about your cat. :( Persians are gorgeous cats, though. We had one, but I guess he got a little to feisty with one of the other cats that lived around here cuz we never saw him again. :(

OMG...I am so sorry.

When my dog died, I literally collapsed into tears. I will miss you Frank. :(
