i think it is all AT&T's fault for not giving qwest the opportunity to give what Beau paid for. Stupid at&t

That was a little confusing. So you're saying that someone else on the same ISP elsewhere in the city is able to get to the sites and you're not? Big deal. If they *weren't*, then it would be the ISP. You need more proof before you can start blaming sh!t on the ISP. And, yes, I give you all the credit you deserve. 😛

Done all the investigating I need to. 🙂

It was the ISP. Just checked the server stats and line states. They had a glitch with the circuit that provides service to my valley.

Well, apparently it's our fault too because this guy's losing $1,000's of dollars an hour because we won't unblock port 2000 so he can daytrade

I still hate you for being a wuss and not doing enough troubleshooting. And, yes, if I think you didn't do enough troubleshooting, then you didn't do enough.

Oh, baby, do it again 😛

Truth is that I probably didn't, I was just being lazy. But it is the truth that the Qwest lines do go down on a regular basis in this valley, but it's only for a short while. This is the first time the problem as been with the ISP since we switched.

Apart from our NOC changing it to fit their needs, the firewall will never get ports opened at anyone's request at any time for any reason whatsoever for security reasons. 🙂 If you want to do something like daytrading and want your ISP to support it, get a commercial account
