Muscle memory plays a huge part in touch screen keyboards. Be careful not to mistake simply not being skilled at the new keyboard for it being a poor one. There will be some kind of learning curve no matter what keyboard you use. Give it some time.

Like what? I find the KB on my iphone to be horrible. Autocorrect is crap, dictionary adding is horrendous, the fact I have to hit to get a "." all the time is really retarded.

I'm with this guy.

My old 3GS gave me absolute fits with its idiotic autocorrect. Contract ended, got a RAZR... worlds better.

I fully back this statement.

I find the keyboard on my iPod touch to be a lot more accurate than the one on y nexus s, which is running ics.

I've had to send multiple texts to correct the autocorrect of the iPhone... the irony. I actually prefer the default android keyboard on the GS2.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the iphone keyboard won't let you manually add a word to the dictionary like most Android keyboards. You have to force it to spell it your way so many times on iphone for it to realize it's not a mistake, where with android you can just click the new word and tap "add to dictionary".

I haven't used the stock Android keyboard since Gingerbread. It really wasn't that great. I tried the stock ICS keyboard and yes it is better but Swiftkey is awesome. It's predictions are second to none. There are many times where it completes entire sentences for me. I have fat thumbs so the larger screen on my Nexus S definitely helps. Plus all you have to do is swipe right to left and it'll delete word, swype down to close the keyboard, quick and easy. You can even choose themes, add arrow keys if you want, and choose the typing style you prefer. It's seriously awesome.

maybe I haven't used it enough. It just feels like whenever I type I can be sloppy as heck and it's fine. On swiftkey it replaces things I don't want replaced, and misses things that should be replaced.

The memorization is the only thing I find annoying on the iPhone keyboard.
I wish it had better system is remembering words thats not in their dictionary.
The most annoying one is wed for Wednesday. It keep changing to we'd no matter what I do.
I even did a dummy name for"wed" and still no luck

Oh I understand. With swiftkey you don't exactly type the whole word but instead just first one or two letters and then tap on the predictions offered. This is how you type fast and accurate with Swiftkey. Swiftkey's prediction is so far the best I've experienced. It will need some training in the beginning, of course, just like any other prediction-based keyboard out there. As soon as it gets your pattern though it will work like a champ.

The best feature of Swiftkey for me is how the prediction algorithm allows for multiple language packs (up to 3, I think), so for those of us who are multilingual and often mix up words from different languages, Swiftkey's prediction will cover when you switch language in the middle of a sentence (and it does it very well, in my experience).
