Lots of genetically flawed humans around here. :hmm:

Interestingly, I only developed seasonal allergies about 10 years ago or so. Prior to that, I never had any kind of allergy symptoms. I guess shit happens.

Feeling much better today, though. We got a lot of rain last night which helped bring down the pollen levels in the air.

Yeah, I'm sure I am destined to become afflicted with something in my later days. I know lots of people who developed allergies later in their life; seems to be a common occurrence.

I seem to be lucky when it comes to that stuff but with the crazy weather patterns these days I do wonder how badly that is screwing with my body.

One day it's shorts and tshirt, the next day it's parka, sorel boots, and tuque. So sick of this. Especially this time of year, it's the worse.

It's a bad allergy season for me too. What I use:

Mucinex. Get the -D version if you need it - it makes my heart race so I don't take it.
An antihistamine. There are several options.
Nasacort. It's over the counter now!
Astelin. Prescription-only antihistamine nasal spray. I need a new prescription - the stuff I'm using is over 10 years old! :\

Also:
- A humidifier. That won't work when the weather gets warmer, though.
- A neti pot if I'm desperate.
- An R95 mask when mowing the lawn. It helps a lot! :)
