...wad of fuck.

I thought that if I had started taking the allergy meds early enough, I wouldn't have many symptoms this year. WRONG! Now I've got some kind of sinus infection or what-not going on.

Somebody please kill me.

Welcome to spring!

Loratadine kept my head clear when I mowed, but damn did I feel some serious inflammation for the next few days.

I think I'm hitting the phase of "I don't know whether what I've got is still a cold or has seamlessly changed into hayfever", like I get every year. My eyes haven't streamed yet, so I guess it's still the former.

I'm sorry you're not feeling well, dude, because it is godly outside today. Actually, you should probably just go out and lay in the sun.

It's been nice seeing the snow melting. Though, we have like 10-15cm on the way Monday. It snowed last night too but it seems to have melted.

TBH I hate this time of year, you don't know what the weather will be like from one day to the next. Though the good part is that there is only a couple more months of this and it's finally going to be summer for real.

Try locally sourced honey. I've had people tell me it helped with their allergies.

I shaved just in time. I intended on getting rid of the beard for warm weather, so I finally broke down Thursday(kept the Van ***). I got scorched on Friday, so I missed having a retarded tan line by a hair :^D

Fuck summer...

Indeed, it is almost 80 degrees right now. :(

Took some mucinex sinus stuff that seems to be helping somewhat. Of course, I'm still popping anti-histamines like candy. Oh well. We're supposed to get a shitload of rain today/tonight/tomorrow (up to 2 inches) so that should help bring the pollen levels down.

Tree pollen is what does it for me.

Go see an allergist, the OTC stuff is really garbage compared to prescription strength nasal sprays.

You are allergic to nature. Please go live on the moon or something.

DO NOT BREED. We do not want your weak genetic material in the human race.

What helped me during allergy season was to use nasal irrigation every evening. Its not a fun process, but it helped. I tried using a neti pot, but switched over to a bulb syringe. Between that and Claritin I felt a lot better. I finally just broke down and got allergy shots for a couple years and that seem to semi-immune me permanently even after I stopped. Still get a few symptoms, but nothing close to before the shots.

I heard that exercising intensely helps ward off some symptoms. Not sure if this is true though.

Well, I don't want to hurt you, since you seem like a cool enough dude....

But, I live probably only 15 mins from you,, so, if you REALLY want somebody to put you out of your misery...

I hope your feeling better, maybe the cold has brought with less allergens :)

So glad I quit coffee. I can willpower my way through tiredness way easier than I can willpower myself through a caffeine headache.

Allergy meds exacerbated caffeine withdrawal for me by giving me a pounding headache. They make you thirsty and you are already dehydrated.

I'm so sorry you quit coffee. It's delicious rich flavor. The earthy aroma of fresh grinds. The trickle of the coffee maker undergoing it's daily burden.

You are now missing out on one of life's greatest treats.

Ever since I cut out processed sugar and eat raw broccoli, I don't get as sick as I use to and I recover quicker than ever before.

edit: and, any meds I do need when I get sick, are usually some IB/Tylenol, soup and saline nasal spray. Maybe some Mucinex.
