I hate to be the one to break this to you, but you won't marry her.

I dunno, xians do stupid shite for stupid reasons. Married? Probably. Divorced in < 3 years? Definately.

Gotta be with her father? I guess a nice dinner somewhere is pretty standard.

Yes, this is actually my first time on anandtech, I was talked into joining by my room-mate: cmdrmoocow.

Your friend should be banned for referring you to ATOT to post YAGTs 😀

Her: 18
Me: 21
We have been together for 3 years...3 very good years...

So you were 18 and she was 15 at the beginning of the relationship...a little young to be so serious IMO. I dunno if marriage is a good idea now - maybe a few more years down the road after she's been through some college. Good luck.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that picked up on this one!

She was 15 and you were 18 when you started to date seriously. That is kind of dodgy...

Take her out on to a bungee 🙂. She'll definately remember it

Hey guys, just let them do what they want to do, every relationship isn't the same, if he feels it's right, and she feels it's right, then I say do it.

Advice from other people sucks, in my opinion. Do what you want, when you want to, and most importantly, do what you feel is right.

see rule #5:
oh, and btw, about pics...go ahead and calm down. The only one getting pics is the one that comes up with the best idea, that I actually use.

I saw it n00b. I chose to ignore it.

*senior in high school
*known for long time
*a relationship entirely not centered around physical "conduct", even phone calls are not a mandatory ritual on my behalf, but something I do willingly...
*Trust me, there is no concerns whatsoever of "being hurt"

well what does she like? what kinda girl is she?

maybe find a nice piece of jewelry for her if shes that type of girl? My b/f personally won me over my birthdya by buying me a psp.

youd need an idea of what are her likes to figure out what she'd like as a gift.

Well, it is morning, start of a new day, and with that I forsee new ideas...

for the new guys, I am basically looking for gift ideas to get for my girl's 18th birthday, I know we have had a few great ideas of places to take her... But I already have plenty of that planned.

Well, here is a last call for an idea, still haven't had anyone say a really great idea for what to get her, I know someone has a wonderful idea out there...
