Check out this restaurant. The final cost will probably exceed $100 but it will be an amazing meal that you won't soon forget. I will be down that way for a wedding in early January and will definitely be eating there. If you do go for it, save room for the dessert room upstairs and request the kitchen tour. If you are into wine, their list is incredible.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but you won't marry her.

jealous are we?, its ok, you will also some day find an amazing woman, and if you have one, then you understand...

Hey, Im not trying to piss in your pool or anything but it's the truth. Jealous, no. Im 23, been through the good and the bad in many relationships. My current gf is 25, who's knows what will happen with us.

Let me break it down for you.

Hey, don't you remember when you were young and in love? Even if they don't, it's a wonderful bubble to live in.

Gotta be with her father? I guess a nice dinner somewhere is pretty standard.

Yes, this is actually my first time on anandtech, I was talked into joining by my room-mate: cmdrmoocow.

Your friend should be banned for referring you to ATOT to post YAGTs 😀

We have been together for 3 years...3 very good years...

So you were 18 and she was 15 at the beginning of the relationship...a little young to be so serious IMO. I dunno if marriage is a good idea now - maybe a few more years down the road after she's been through some college. Good luck.

a few more years is definitely the plan...

Sent a PM. You guys need to lighten up - you treat it like a crime if there's not some sexual or otherwise vulgar happenings going on.

i dont think a dinner is anything spectacular. unless its a great restaurant, its probably not something she'd remember.

you've been together for three years. she has never mentioned something in paritcular she reallly wanted to do? Go to?

We do both have season tickets to Busch Gardens, but we went there twice over the summer.

In all reality, I am more looking for gift ideas, I already have plans to go to an all night church "start of school" lock-in (excuse to legitimately, and blamelessly spend the night with her...and have lots of fun), a secret picnic dinner somewhere romantic, and possibly going to the springs....

I am also possibly gonna borrow someone else's idea and modify it to make a lily out of hard disk plates...

and I got her this really cool scarf...she loves them
