I think it would have been awesome if the cop got out and said.. "That'll buff right out...there's no need to get insurance involved is there?"

She won't be able to get it unless the case goes to court, and even then she'll have to wait until discovery to obtain it.

In-car recordings are for evidentiary purposes, not for public consumption. Getting access to an in-car tape is not the same as getting a copy of a police report.

That's why you politely request a copy, preferably having her do it in person wearing something really low cut.

She won't get it. If anything, the records unit supervisor would refer her to the city's FOIA office, and we all know what a clusterfvck that is...
 
happened to my mom before. she was stopped at a red light and a cop slams into her doing over 20mph. he was looking down using the computer or something. my mom's knee was seriously fubared. police department had to pay up and lets just say that the cop was suspended for a while.

Um, he probably wasn't suspended; he was likely just taken off the road for a while and put in HR or records or something. It was an accident; it happens to everyone.

Not worthy of a suspension, IMHO.

UPDATE: She came over. Her neck is stiff. Her truck wont close. And her rear fender is all f*cked up.

Stiff neck means no bang-bang-bang for a couple days. DAMN!
