He wants to marry me.
I say nope.

Damn, girl! Quit using him! The poor schmuck buys you a house and you still won't marry him? Why the hell not?

My girlfriend and I have chosen the route of awkwardly avoiding the subject and never talking about marriage or the future, now that's true love.

5 years an no ring? I thought it was supposed to be a 2 year cut off.

Hehe... makes me feel relieved.. my GF of 2 yrs has been asking me abt getting married also. SO I guess that idea is cancelled, based on this info :)

My girlfriend and I started telling eachother we loved eachother less than a week after we first got together - and we continue to say it dozens of times a day, over 2 years later

My theory : tell her once that you love her. to prove it that you mean it, at the right time, give her ring. To reinforce it, get married. Three times is enough. She shouldn't keep aksing " do you love me?" ANYTIME after that. period

Similar situation for me. She's a bartender and I'd gone into her bar a few times over a period of six months but never really got the hint that she liked me. She finally made a move, we wound up in the sack, and started dating. Two weeks later, we found out she was pregnant. Then she lost her job, and a month into the pregnancy, she miscarried. Being able to survive what we went through at such an early stage in our relationship, we knew we both loved each other. We were both telling each other "ILY" about three weeks in. It's been about six months, and she's been living with me for the last 5.

Of course, it's not hard to love this woman. She's hot, intelligent, loves sports, and is a nympho who could have sex 5 times a day. What more could a man want. :D

Dunno... fear probably. Had a horrible experiece being married (to a lunatic) and swore I would never do it again. Plus how many ppl say that marriage changes things? We are perfect the way it is. We love and respect each other, care for, care about and take care of each other. We are the bestest friends, never fight and genuninely enjoy being in each other's company. We have both achieved a level of trust with each other, that neither of us ever thought imagiable. I fear that marriage might ruin it. He has never been married before, and has no children (he met me when VeggieFrog was 13yrs. old) even though he had his share of girlfriends... he says he waited for me. He said that God told him to wait, he did, and I am his reward for holding out. He says he will wait until I am ready... In the 5yrs we have been together, I have gone from Fvck no, to no to not now. So, who knows.. I am just afraid that marriage will complicate it. Fear!

Anyone else fall in love/have someone fall in love with them this quickly?

yes, it has happened to me twice in a row. just watch out!
